No Attorney General Notice of Available Grant Funding One-time limited grant funding is available to Kansas sheriffs departments for calendar year 2014 from the County Law Enforcement Equipment Fund. Per K.S.A. 75-7c14: Monies in the county law enforcement fund shall be used only to fund grants to sheriffs departments for purchases of law enforcement equipment other than motor vehicles. No Department for Children and Families Public Notice The state of Kansas will submit by December 31, 2013, an updated Kansas State Plan and Annual Report for administration of the block grant to states for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF). TANF provides assistance to needy families with children and provides parents with job preparation, work and support services to enable them to leave the program and become selfsufficient. Only minor revisions are being made to the TANF State Plan. The Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) has prepared the State Plan and Annual Report for TANF. No Department for Children and Families Request for Proposals for Kansas Work for Success The Kansas Department for Children and Families, Faith-based and Community Initiatives, announces the release of a request for proposals to award a grant to up to three organizations. Those who will receive the grant(s) will demonstrate expertise and capacity to assist fathers who are receiving government assistance and are in arrears of child support payments to the state in the DCF Wichita, East and West regions. The grant will fund services to fathers, the replication of a pilot program developed by Connections to Success, for case management, mentoring, work readiness, fathering skills, relationship skills, financial management and family violence prevention training. These services have been shown to help low-income fathers find sustained employment, pay child support and improve their family relationships. Eligible applicants include organizations that are located within the DCF Wichita, East and/or West regions that (1) have experience effectively providing services to low-income families; (2) preferably, have been in business for five or more years with strong community partnerships; (3) have a volunteer-driven component with current active volunteers; (4) have some experience in jobplacement for unemployed individuals; and (5) understand the barriers and obstacles of employment facing low-income families. DCF invites applications from government agencies; public universities and colleges; and private, nonprofit organizations, including faithbased and community organizations. By statutory definition, firm means such individual, firm, partnership, corporation, association, or other legal entity which is permitted by law to practice the profession of architecture, engineering or land surveying by the Kansas Board of Technical Professions. The city reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to waive any technicalities or irregularities therein. Jackson, Topeka, to consider the adoption of proposed changes in existing rules and regulations of the Board of Accountancy. This 60-day notice of the public hearing shall constitute a public comment period for the purpose of receiving written public comments on the proposed rules and regulations. Amendments to this regulation require those chosen for audit of their CPE hours to respond within a time frame specified by the board, in conjunction with the amendment made to K.A.R K.A.R Definitions. K.A.R Management of an office. Amendments to this regulation clarify the requirements for management of an office. K.A.R Definitions. Amendments to this regulation set forth a board policy that has been in effect for several years relative to what is required for proof of peer review at the time of firm renewal. K.A.R Peer review oversight. Revoked. The board does not anticipate any economic impact upon itself, to governmental agencies, private businesses or individuals in the adoption of these revisions to its regulations. Jackson, Topeka, to consider the adoption of proposed changes in existing regulations. This 60-day notice of the public hearing shall constitute a public comment period for the purpose of receiving written public comments on the proposed rules and regulations. These regulations are proposed for adoption on a permanent basis. A summary of the proposed regulations and the economic impact statement follows: K.A.R Ground ambulance staffing. The proposed amendment adds language to include staffing requirements for a type IIA ambulance. The language was changed but the version was not adopted by the board when several other operational regulations were, consequently failing to establish standards for staffing on type IIA ambulances. K.A.R Standards for type V air ambulances and equipment. The proposed changes in this regulation add language regarding staffing from existing K.A.R , standards for fixed-wing ambulance aircrafts and equipment, to make staffing consistent with both fixed-wing and rotor-wing aircrafts. K.A.R Standards for fixed-wing ambulance aircraft and equipment. The proposed change removes staffing requirements and places them into K.A.R to regulated consistent staffing on all air ambulances regardless if they are fixed-wing or rotor-wing. K.A.R Advanced emergency medical technician; authorized activities.
