4 On May 4, 2016, the Monterey County Peace Officers Association held their 22 nd Annual Police Memorial, which began with a procession of about 24 police cars and 6 motorcycles from the Marina Municipal Airport to St. Judes Church for the Memorial service. We remembered those who died in the line of duty in Monterey and Santa Cruz County dating back to 1855 through A candle was lit and the bell rang for each of the California Fallen Officers killed in the line of duty in We Salute You.
