Without your support, we couldn't have made it happen. Speaking of volunteers, we are in the process of repainting and fixing issues with the building. I CHALLENGE OUR ACTIVE DUTY MEMBERS to organize volunteer working parties to help us in this. You can contact me via magiccare@rocketmail.com We will make letters of appreciation and send them to you for your help. We are hosting a Military Appreciation BBQ. This is a Free BBQ open to all U.S. Military, their Spouses/significant others and families are also welcomed! This event is our way of saying "Thank you for keeping our Country safe!". This will be held on Wednesday August 3rd Food will consist of Hamburgers, Hot Dogs with Baked Beans and Mac Salad. Soda and water will be available. Food will be served from The Fleet Reserve Association will open at Check out our Facebook Pearl Harbor Honolulu Branch 46 Fleet Reserve Association. Please come out and support the FRA. If you want to volunteer to help us, come down to I know that some of our Shipmates don't open this Newsletter. I am asking each of you that read this to help spread the word. 4 From the Chaplain s Pen Reverend Ollie Tucker Something to ponder During this past year, through death, we have lost quite a few of our members. None knew when they were going to die, until they got to the point with some kind of sickness that they knew that recovery was not forthcoming. There are numerous verses scattered throughout the bible which support the fact that God knows when we are going to die, and even has an appointed a time for each of us. Would you be comfortable knowing? We of course know that some day we are all going to die, but when. Suppose you knew that you were going to die at age 27, 34, 56, 65, 76, 85 or maybe even a 100. Would you live your life differently? The bible tells us how to be prepared for death. The point is this: Let's say that you knew that you would die at age 56. Up until age 55, you have lived a life, for example, that was self indulging, self centered, and you know was not pleasing to God. How would you live your last year? Would you make any changes? The fact is, that we don't know when death will knock at our door. That's why the bible teaches that we must be prepared at all times. Personally, I am glad I don't know when my day will come.
