2 Zia BOD Minutes, October 19, 2017 st The October 19, 2017 BOD meeting began at 0700 p.m. with 1 Vice President Charley Robertson presiding. A quorum was achieved with 14/22 BOD members attending. Item I-Approval of Minutes and Agenda- The minutes of September 21, 2017 was approved with no changes. The agenda was approved without comment. Item II-Treasurer's Report The Treasurer's report was not presented due to the Treasurer being absent because of an accident and his data could not be located. Item III-Old Business- Membership-Club membership has settled in the range of ~1540 voting members, ~160 associates and 5 Honorary members, as reported by the Secretary. Friends of the NRA Banquet- The ABQ Friends of the NRA Banquet resulted in a table prize win for Zia. The prize was a Kimber Pro Carry II pistol. The BOD elected to use the pistol as a special Grand door prize for a member at the Club Annual Meeting, January 11, BOD Nomination Committee- The BOD Nomination Committee reported all positions for the annual nd election had been filled by returning members except for 2 Vice President, Secretary and one Member at Large. The Ballot will be published as reported in the November, December and January Newsletters unless further filling of the ballot is accomplished. Shotgun Conex Vents- Turbine vents installation for the Grey storage conex at the shotgun Range was completed September 18, within bounds of allotted funds. U.S. Eagle Credit Union Signatories- This action remains incomplete due to the absence of the POC at the Credit Union when attempt was made to accomplish this action during the past month. The club currently has two signatories and will maintain the three required ASAP. Item IV-New Business- Unassigned Small Trailer Status- It was determined by the BOD that the unassigned small trailer would be stored but available for Club use at the East Range Storage area. As it has no title, it cannot be reasonably sold or used off the Range proper but could have future value to Activities as required. Chair Orchard will move the trailer to a suitable location for available use. Door Repair, Shotgun White/Grey Trailers-These door repairs have been started with minimal funds use. The remaining funds for the white trailer will be rolled over to support repair of the Gray Trailer in the West Range Storage area. It was determined to authorized $500 for the extensive requirements of this project. A Contractor is active in this project. NSSF Rimfire Challenge activity issues- Chair Mike Walker resigned his Chairmanship position in this activity by October 17, He reported low shooter turnout and lack of a replacement volunteer. The BOD elected to close the Activity as required by the By-Laws and cancel reservation for range facilities immediately. The assets of the activity will be stored for recognized needs. The scheduled activity shoot on 22 October and Newsletter support was also canceled. An e-blast reporting same was sent to all Club Members before 12 noon October 20. Newsletter Deadlines- BOD members were reminded the deadline for Newsletter inputs is on the first of each month, in order to get the newsletter out in a timely fashion. They were also encouraged to provide inputs to the Newsletter to encourage membership participation.
