4 AORE: THE FUTURE Decision-makers AORE is the networking and professional development hub for college, university and municipal outdoor recreation programmers and academics. Over 700 AORE members operate more than 300 individual outdoor programs across the country. AORE programs purchase more than $6.6 million in equipment annually. AORE professionals are the purchasers, programmers and influencers within the outdoor recreation and education industry. Exposure on a National Level AORE programs operate on college and university campuses with a reach of more than 2.9 million students. AORE members also include more than 130 municipalities, military installations and other not-for-profit outdoor recreation programs. AORE has experienced membership growth of more than 18% in the last year. AORE conference attendance has grown more than 37% over the last five years. Access to an Elusive Target Market The most important, influential and elusive consumer is the college student. AORE programs are introducing more than 1.5 million year olds annually to immersive outdoor experiences. Participants in our programs are your next generation of educated and brand-loyal consumers. Expanding & Educating the Future of the Industry Our programs are actively working to expand outdoor experiences for individuals from diverse backgrounds and begin closing the adventure gap that exists for underrepresented demographic and socioeconomic groups in this country. This is a unique opportunity for our industry partners to help build and maintain year-round, 365-day relationships with our members and the outdoor recreation and education community nationwide. Outdoor Orientation Program Symposium The Outdoor Orientation Program Symposium (OOPS) provides theoretical and pragmatic models of successful adventure orientation programs. The symposium includes workshops on: risk management, training student leaders, creating academic links, and integrating research outcomes. The symposium faculty are current or former adventure orientation program directors and researchers. OOPS travels to multiple conferences per year. Here s your chance to sponsor this traveling workshop and reach hundreds of attendees. Regional Events As AORE continues to expand, the need for regional events becomes more and more important. 14 CONDITIONS & PAYMENT Membership Conditions AORE reserves the right to change membership benefits and offerings during your membership period. Annual Association Memberships are non-refundable. All members will be added to the Association Message Boards upon registration. Members may then elect to remove themselves from the Message Boards if they so choose. AORE, as a service to its members, includes the contact information in an electronic membership directory as a means of promoting networking within the Association. Representative s Signature: Date: Conference Conditions Required for Sponsorship, Exhibitor Booth and Demo Day Neither the Association of Outdoor Recreation and Education (AORE) nor any staff member or conference host shall be responsible for any property loss suffered by the Exhibitor that is the result of theft, damage by fire, accident, or other cause. No responsibility is assumed for any equipment or supplies delivered, left, or shipped to or from the conference site before, after, or during the conference activity. No Exhibitor shall assign, sublet, or share the space allocated without the knowledge and prior written consent of the AORE. This includes the disbursement of brochures and materials on site. Promotional materials may be distributed only within the booth assigned to the Exhibitor. No firm or organization shall be permitted to solicit business outside of the exhibit area or conference session area without written permission of an authorized AORE representative. The Exhibitor is allowed a signup sheet for solicitation purposes. Exhibitors are expected to contact the local taxing authorities about collecting sales tax and note city and state on their sale if items are sold through the Exhibitor booth. Exhibitor sales of food or beverage are prohibited. The AORE shall not be responsible in any way for sales tax liabilities incurred by the Exhibitor. If you cancel your registration prior to Aug. 20, 2017, the AORE will retain 25% of the total registration fee. If you cancel your registration between Aug. 20 and Oct. 5, 2017, the AORE will retain 50% of the total registration fee. There will be no refunds after Oct. 5, Registration fees are not transferable to future years or any other person outside of your organization.
