5 Current MATC Framework Participants Supporting country / Observer TASK Provide comprehensive training of aircrew and maintenance personnel on Mi type helicopters, with maximum use of existing capabilities and structures while minimising the overall costs. However provisions for expansion are present MATC MoU - Section 3 Objectives, art. 4 other aviation platforms and capabilities (other helicopters, fixed-wing, remotely piloted platforms, and Joint Terminal Attack Controllers) may be incorporated as early as technically feasible. MATC should be maintained even if the Participants change their aviation platforms. It is desirable to increase the number of nations participating in the MATC.

National contributions remains under full control of participating countries => MATC Directorate coordinates and facilitates the training effort 6

13 WAY AHEAD Project MATC II was approved by the MATC Steering Committee in March 2016 MATC II has high priority by MOD The Czech Air Force works on: Establishing Integrated working group Implementation to MATC MOU syllabus, SOPs Legal and financial framework Gov-Gov From 2019 will be MATC II embedded part of the commercial contract CzAF - CLV Pardubice From 2019 will be established a military unit in Pardubice Military instructor staff Possible international cooperation Experienced combat pilots Military environment Logistic provided by CLV Pardubice Close cooperation with perspective partners

14 SAAB CONTRIBUTION Create HUB training centre for conversion training on JAS 39D 4x JAS 39 D Gripen family project Future training co-operation with Saab are investigated. The discussion will include both basic training and conversion training for JAS39 C/D pilots. Saab also investigates a possible future Support Hub in Czech Republic to cover the JAS39 C/D fighter users with possible MRO services and also support the future training school.
