1 MINISTERIO DE EDUCACIÓN, CULTURA Y DEPORTE Unidad de Educación Escolar y de Personas Adultas TRANSNATIONAL COOPERATION ACTIVITY CONTACT SEMINAR: SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT IN VIEW OF INCLUSION 27 th to 30 th October 2016 Erfurt, Germany Working language: English Number of Spanish participants: Up to 3 Profile of participants: The seminar is open to participants within the fields of school education. The contact seminar is mainly targeted at school leaders and teachers of pupils aged between 6 and 16, interested in the theme of the seminar and committed to develop Erasmus+ strategic partnership. Themes and goals of the event The seminar will be an opportunity to share and discover approaches in the field of inclusion. Its aim is to create strategic partnerships between schools for the promotion of equity and inclusion. Students with disadvantaged backgrounds and fewer opportunities such as students with educational difficulties should get access to school education systems through innovative approaches. In line with the Paris Declaration, one priority is to involve refugees, asylum seekers, migrants and people belonging to a national or ethnic minority. Priority will be given to actions - addressing diversity in (formal and non-formal) education and training, - developing social, civic, intercultural competences and media literacy, - combating discrimination and segregation, - tackling bullying as well as - reducing disparities in learning outcomes affecting learners with disadvantaged backgrounds in particular through innovative integrated approaches. - This should also involve enhancing the access, participation and performance of disadvantaged learners and facilitating their transitions: - between different levels and types of education and training; - from education/training to the world of work. 2 Expected results Participants will develop project ideas and start preparing their project application during the contact seminar. Cost This activity is financed by the Erasmus+ Programme. Being selected for this activity, all costs (event fee, accommodation, travel, visa, etc.) relevant to participation in the seminar will be covered by the National Agencies involved in this project. You may be asked to cover travel costs in advance and they will be reimbursed after your return, once you have provided Spanish NA with the documentation and a final report. 3 Contact seminar (Transnational cooperation activity TCA) School development in view of inclusion October 27 th October 30 th, 2016 in Erfurt, Thuringia Erfurt is the regional capital of Thuringia. On account of its central location in Germany, Erfurt has an excellent infrastructure. It t is a modern thriving city that also enjoys a unique historical setting. Erfurt's colourful history goes back at least years. Thuringia's largest city is distinguished by several unique features such as the cathedral and the Church of St. Severus, which have now become the emblem of the city, and such as the almost perfectly preserved medieval city centre with its famous merchants` bridge. / fotos: Kerstin Nonn Merchants' Bridge Merchants' Bridge (Krämerbrücke) lined with galleries, cafés and boutiques is the longest series of inhabited buildings on any bridge in Europe. The Merchants' Bridge is Erfurts most interesting secular construction, initially in wood but rebuilt in stone in There were originally 62 narrow buildings along its 120-metre length, but subsequent redevelopment left just 32 buildings. Of what was once a pair of bridgehead churches, only the Church of St. Aegidius remains at the eastern end of the bridge today
