Successful Communication the Future of Europe Romania, Newsletter 4 January 2017 So, what s up? This has been up in our schools during the last two months: For Romania take a look at pages 1-4 Where? For Italy look for page 5 Where?... For Poland follow pages 6-7 In Romania, Poland and Italy, of course
In romania Our Students, PARENTS AND TEACHERS took part in the CHARITY AND VOLUNTEERING ACTIVITIES... Be good, feel good! Our school team formed by enthusiastic students, teachers, parents and the Principal, has organised a challenging activity based on the main topic: VOLUNTEERING HAS NO AGE. The aforementioned activity took place on 21 st December 2016 and more than 100 people were involved in. In what follows, you can find the impressions of our students, namely: Giurcă Ștefan Emilian, XB and Pîrlog Patricia Claudia, XID about this experience. (Elena-Olga Stroe) Being a volunteer in this challenging project was an unforgettable experience since I realised how short and precious our lives really are. We went to a nursing home from our town and decorated the Christmas tree together with the people from there, we offered them many cakes trying to make them remember what a Happy Christmas with your family means. Volunteering represents one of the greatest achievements that I could get during my High School years because it is useful for my selfdevelopment and it provides a sense of duty. The volunteering activity I took part in this December was one that made me think that helping out those in need or putting a smile on someone s face can make a real difference for people of all ages. Offering Christmas gifts to the olds from the asylum and seeing their lighted facial expressions as we decorated their Christmas tree made us happy, too. WE HAVE ALSO ORGANISED A MEETING BETWEEN Students, PARENTS AND TEACHERS FROM DIFFERENT SCHOOLS OF OUR TOWN, WHERE PEOPLE REDISCOVERED US... Successful dissemination On the 16 th of December 2016 our school hosted The Methodological Meeting between teachers (most of them projects coordinators), students and parents from different schools of our city, Brăila. During this meeting the participants found out information about Erasmus+ Strategic Partnerships, teachers, students and parents shared impressions, made new friends and exchanged good practices. The interactive activities inspired and motivated our students to continue their engagement in the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnerships. The opinions of two girls involved in this meeting are presented below. (Elena-Olga Stroe) Our project team disseminated information about our Erasmus+ Project Successful Communication The future of Europe, this event that would not have occurred without the guidance of our projects coordinator and the principal of the school. We presented pictures and videos that we made during that week, 20 th November - 26 th November 2016, with our friends from Poland and Italy. Then we talked about what this experience represents to each of us and how it changed our prospects. Last but not least, I understood how important communication is in one s life because to my mind, it is the true key of success. I personally encourage all my fellows to follow their heart and enjoy Erasmus+! (Diana Ioana Sterea, XA) I participated in The Methodological Meeting of projects coordinators of my town, where teachers and students from different schools spent a quality time all together. It was a great experience because one of the presentations was about the students from a Vocational High School of Braila that have learnt about teaching in kindergarten during their stay in a foreign country by being involved in their Erasmus+ project. This meeting made me think more seriously about my future career. I would like to become a teacher, to help the future generations to improve themselves and my six year old sister, too. After taking part in this activity, I think that communication is essential in teaching as well in life. (Ana-Maria Buricea, XD) 1
...AND WE HAVE PUT SOME THOUGHTS ON PAPER... My Erasmus+ Experience From the beginning, this project made me to realise how important communication is in one s life. All participants managed to overcome language barriers in order to communicate with each other successfully. I am glad that I got the chance to meet so many different people from different countries. My Erasmus+ experience is a unique one, from which I have acknowledged that communication is the key of success! Băcanu Maria, XIIE My Erasmus+ Experience Beyond a studying experience, Erasmus+ means much more for me. It is a way to discover new friends and learn what is not written into books. What matters the most for me is that I got to know myself much better than I expected and as trivial as it sounds, I have a new perspective on my future career and my goals, and after this Erasmus+ experience I realised that it was much easier to say hello than to say goodbye. Last but not least, I can say that I would definitely do it one more time. Beciu Alexandru, XIE My Erasmus+ Experience Describing my Erasmus+ experience I could write a whole book. During this time we firstly became a team. Afterwards, the team turned into a family and the teammates into family members. I am very happy that I had the opportunity to take part in the Erasmus+ project, to meet new people and have unforgettable memories. Now, I have friends from Poland and Italy with whom I have a successful communication. Buricea Ana-Maria, XD My Erasmus+ Experience The Erasmus + experience were definitely one of a kind. It offered me the chance to meet incredible people who turned quickly into friends. This project helped me realize how similar we are as humans, no matter where we come from. I have always been interested in discovering new cultures and this was the perfect opportunity to do that. Furthermore, this project made me more confident, both in myself and my English skills and gave me the chance to create memories that will last forever. For sure this was one of the best moments of my high school years! Dascălu Andreea, XIF My Erasmus+ Experience For me, the Erasmus+ project means much more than an ordinary school project. I m very glad that I had the opportunity to take part in the Erasmus+ programme. Now, after a whole week, I have new friends from other countries, I am able to understand some Italian and Polish words, too. I have also learned about their cultures and I m a more self-confident and independent person. I will never forget this experience and the friends I made during this week, because everyone has left me something and when you have as amazing experience with other people as I did on Erasmus+, you will always be connected to them. Together we had unforgettable moments, memories that will remain with us throughout life. That's exactly what I mean by a successful communication. Sterea Diana Ioana, XA My Erasmus+ Experience Being involved in such a self-developing project got me thinking more about our diversity in mind and how we get things done. Both similarities and differences were noticeable in our unusual group, as it is a known fact that the Italian, Polish and Romanian cultures don t have much in common. Although we found ourselves to be at ease while building up bridges through team-work, making films, artists and popular 2
songs. Moreover, I realised that I displayed some kind of open-mindless and understanding which must have been the genuine result of my involvement in the Erasmus+ Project. Dună Maria, XIB My Erasmus+ Experience This autumn I have attended to Erasmus + project mobility organised by my school team. The thing that I liked most was that I interacted in English a week with the girl that came at me, from Bari, Italy, Emilia. I made a lot of new friends from Poland and Italy, too. We understood very well, we exchanged gifts, ideas and advice. I would like to go to Italy and see her again and repeat the experience. Gagu Teodora,XA My Erasmus+ Experience They say that good things don t last too long, and this was certainly the case for my short, yet wonderful participation in the Erasmus+ project. The mobility week went by really fast, but it brought along great memories, new friends from across the Europe and unforgettable times. I got to discover another cultures (and rediscover mine, too!), learn a few new words but, the most important; understanding that we are all the same, regardless of our origins. Blonde or brunette, introvert or extrovert, Romanian, Italian or Polish, we have common dreams, aspirations and hopes for a better future we can only achieve through team work. By the end of the week, everyone was able to communicate in English even through eye contact and this special bond was possible thanks to our similar inner selves. After all, if this isn t a successful communication, I really don t know what it is! Gheorghe Gabriela-Bianca, XIB My Erasmus+ Experience This Erasmus+ project was one of my greatest experiences because I made a lot of friends, I found out how different the cultures of two countries can be and I also had the opportunity to visit the mayor s office. Moreover, I learned many words both in Italian and Polish, I had a lot of fun with my new friends and I m looking forward to coming in Italy. Giurcă Ştefan-Emilian, XB My Erasmus+ Experience The experience of the six days spent with students from Italy and Poland was one of the most important and interesting activities that I have ever attended to and that has marked my high school life. The dedication and enthusiasm of the people involved in have made this project to reach its goals, prompting us, students, to improve our English skills and the ability to communicate with others. I am inclined to believe that besides these things that have helped us for our personal development, we managed to create bonds with friends and people with whom I share more in common than I would have imagined. Thus, the memory of this project is a lovely one and belongs to an experience that I would gladly do again. Pîrlog Particia Claudia, XID My Erasmus+ Experience First of all I have to mention that, for me, Erasmus+ Successful Communication - The Future of Europe- represented an experience which is beyond words. Although, I will do my best to summarise one of the greatest weeks I have ever had. We established new friendships, we learnt more about different cultures, but most important, we spent some quality time with our new friends, which is unforgettable. We taught them our language, we showed them how we party and how we have a good time, but then it was their time to show us more about their customs. To put all these in a nutshell, this was a valuable e experience not only for us, but also for the rest of the people who came to Romania and I would truly recommend everybody take part in such projects. Plăşoianu Rareș-Lucian, XIIB 3
My Erasmus+ Experience For me, the Erasmus+ project means an unique experience, through which I've met wonderful people with whom I've created strong relationships. Through this project, I've come to be able to understand a bit of Italian and Polish. During this week, I learned interesting things about their cultures. I will never forget this week and the friends that I've made. Rusen Ana Maria, XIF My Erasmus+ Experience Even if it was not my first time when I met someone from another country, it was by far the most interesting experience of this type. We had fun together and took part in many activities. All the activities taught us that we are a team and we must think like a team even if we are from other countries. I met new people, but the most important thing is that I made a friend for life. Duma Andrei, XG KAUFLAND OLYMPIAD The 5th and the 6th graders were challenged to build some functional machines, made of lego or special pieces used for designing robots. They succeeded in making: -A dumper- designed to carry heavy objects; -A Suv- a car designed to climb steep areas; -The ANT Robot- a robot specialised in walking, in recognizing obstacles and in avoiding them; How did the children feel? They had a great time together, learning more about what team work means and developing both their social and mental skills. We organize such activities in order to make our students associate the concept school with having fun, while learning captivating things. What are the results? We succeded in organizing a class for those who are interested in robots and who are willing to attend to several competitions based on this theme. Prof. Prus Paul 4
In ITALY SHORT MOBILITY TO ROMANIA - NOVEMBER 2016 My Erasmus plus experience was amazing. I met lots of kind and friendly people and I had the opportunity to visit Romania for the first time and the opportunity to live their lifestyle for one week. I'm very glad for this and I'll never forget it. Emilia Riccardo From the 20th to the 26th of November, I had the opportunity to stay in Romania because of the Erasmus+ Project. I learnt a lot about this country and people. I really enjoyed the days spent with my host family. Diletta Breardi The Erasmus+ experience was great! In five days we were all part of a big family and we had a lot of fun. The host family was friendly and Romania is my second home now. At the parties we danced, we had a lot of fun and the last day we cried. The Erasmus+ experience was a chance to know better ourselves and make new friendships. Silvano Sorino I think that my Erasmus Plus experience in Romania was sure one of the greatest of my life. After only six days, we were great friends and this is what impressed me most. I had a good time there talking to the other students and exchanging our experiences about school, family and so on. My host family was very nice to me and now I consider my Romanian sister as a true friend. I ll always remember some funny moments that I shared with my mates. I hope to meet my Polish and Romanian friends soon. Ilenia Fortunato I just want to say that Erasmus + has been one of the best experience in my life. I met new people that for one week made me feel at home. I also learned new words, I discovered new traditions and I improved my English but, above all I understood how strong I am because I have faced up to situations never tried before. I suggest this experience to everyone! Sara Candoni 6 days to create a Big Family. I had a fantastic week with my big family. From the beginning we came together as if we had known each other for a long time. I got to know another culture, I love sarmale. I learned a bit of Romanian: La şapte ne vedem diseară! that means Let s meet at 7 tonight!. I hope to see you soon guys! Tiziano This experience has been so beautiful!!! It has given me new reasons to improve my English. Moreover, the "ERASMUS PLUS" has enabled me to meet a lot of friends belonging to different cultures. This has been a chance to compare our traditions and routines with theirs, so I'd like to say only "thanks", for everything. Chicco Marialuisa 5
In POLAND SHORT MOBILITY TO ROMANIA - NOVEMBER 2016 Our trip to Romania was an eye-opening experience. It showed how people of different nations are both diverse and similar, in the best ways possible. I made many great memories, friends and learned important life lessons, not to mention all the brilliant photos I took! Malina Kłak In my opinion the mobility to Romania was extremely interesting and inspiring. This trip let me meet lots of amazing people and I was able to visit new places. It was the best time of my life :) Mateusz Sobociński The mobility in Erasmus + project was an amazing experience. During the time I had a chance to learn more about Romanian traditions and culture. I could make new friends and of course practice my English. These people made me feel like home and my host family is my second family now. We created a Big Happy Family and we had fun together. This time was the best time of my life! I hope to see them soon. Ewelina Olczyk The stayin Romania was awesome. I met new friends and learnt more about this country. They serve a lot of delicious food. I liked everything there. Mikołaj Konarski The mobility to Romania was amazing. I enjoyed the visit very much. Everything was wonderful. Braila was great and the people I met there were very friendly. I hope to see them again. Jakub Sochacki 6
POST-MOBILITY MEETING On 15th December we had a post-mobility meeting with all participants, their parents and the teaching staff. It was a great opportunity to show our photos, certificates and to share our impressions from this event. CHRISTMAS CEREMONY In December an annual Christmas celebration took place in our school. Our school community and invited guests had a chance to see a nativity play performed by the school theatre group. CLOSING CEREMONY OF KRZYSZTOF KIESLOWSKI S YEAR On 22 nd December our school organized a closing ceremony of Krzysztof Kieślowski s Year. It was a splendid and memorable event. Not only did the students have a possibility of meeting Zdzisław Kaczmarek, a well-known cameraman, but also the contestants of the film competition were awarded for their work. 7
