32 Faculty-led Study Abroad Proposals Timeline for Proposals: Conversations with program and administrative chair should begin at least 1 ½ years before Study Abroad program would occur to allow for resolution of any workload, scheduling, or coverage issues. Intention to propose a faculty led Study Abroad program should be included in your current Plan of Work. First round of proposal materials is submitted to the CIAS Study Abroad committee by week 5 of Spring semester (for Intersession, Spring, and Summer programs intended for following year). This lead time is necessary for completion and review of program elements (academic, logistical, and financial) in time for students to plan their participation.
