1 K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering 16 th August 2018 Notice for fresh application forms for CAP Vacancy (extended) round F.Y.B.Tech. ( ) for Gujarati Linguistic Minority and Non-Minority candidates As per notification by DTE/ State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra, cut-off date for admissions to First Year Engineering/Technology has been extended till 31 st August 2018 (DTE notification attached herewith). In view of enabling eligible candidates to apply for this vacancy round (extended), following decisions have been taken by College management. 1. Application form for this CAP vacancy (extended) round for F.Y.B.Tech. ( ) is made available again as per schedule given in Table 2. Candidates from Gujarati Linguistic Minority as well as Non-Minority candidates can apply. 2. The candidate is required to fill in online form through Google link using his/her Gmail account All those candidates, who have applied previously for the vacancy rounds and their names have appeared in the merit lists of the College (dated 30 th July 2018 and 9 th August 2018) need not apply again. 4. A single merit list, of all the eligible candidates belonging to the Gujarati Linguistic Minority, (including all those candidates who are applying now and those who had already applied); will be prepared. 5. Similarly, a single merit list of all the eligible non-minority candidates, (including all those candidates who are applying now and those who had already applied); will be prepared. 6. Admissions to all vacant seats, if any; will be based on these appropriate merit lists (one for non-minority and another for Gujarati Linguistic Minority candidates). 7. The candidate must have Receipt-cum Acknowledgement issued by Facilitation Centre of DTE/ State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra after verification of require documents and candidature. 8. Guajarati Linguistic Minority candidates must be registered in DTE portal as Guajarati Linguistic Minority. If they are not registered, they will not be considered as Minority for this CAP vacancy (extended) form. All Guajarati Linguistic Minority candidates must submit print out of Final Merit List from DTE website clearly indicating their category as Guajarati Linguistic Minority with application form. The candidate must submit print out of filled Google form along with all required documents (as per Table 1) and non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 2,000/ (Rupees Two thousand only) per category (Gujarati Linguistic Minority and Non-Minority) strictly by Demand Draft/Pay order drawn in favour of K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering payable at Mumbai to the Administrative office (First Floor of Aryabhat Building of our College) per schedule given i Table The processing fee paid by candidate will not be refunded under any circumstances. 11. After receipt of processing fee and verification of requisite documents, the name of the candidate will appear in the merit list. 12. Please not that, in case of any discrepancy in the documents submitted, the candidates will not be considered in the merit list. Such candidates will also not be informed by college and the processing fee will not be refunded. So candidates are required to take utmost care while submission of documents.
