The applicants should have zeal and flair to work with village communities on biodiversity related matters. Name of the post: Botanist (contractual)- One Essential qualification: M. Sc., Ph. D in Botany Desirable qualification and experience: (i) (ii) (iii) Three years of research experience in plant biodiversity studies, plant taxonomy, documentation and conservation of plants/ implementation of projects in related topics. Good writing and communication skills. Proficiency in computer and IT tools. Age: Below 45 years Remuneration: Rs.30, 000/- P.M.( consolidated) 2. Name of the post: Zoologist (contractual)- One Essential qualification: M. Sc., Ph. D in Zoology Desirable qualification and experience: (i) (ii) (iii) Three years of research experience in study of faunal diversity/ wildlife biology/ handling of projects on documentation and conservation of fauna in related topics. The appointment is purely temporary in nature. 2. The place of posting will be at Odisha Biodiversity Board, Bhubaneswar. 3. The incumbent is required to undertake extensive travel within Odisha and outside. He / she may have to camp in rural and forest areas as the situation warrants. 4. The incumbent will be required to take up independent survey and research relating to biodiversity of Odisha. 5. He / she has to liaison and coordinate activities with Government organizations, NGOs, academic institutions, CBO for implementing various programmes formulated by Odisha Biodiversity Board. 6. He / she will be responsible for collection, collation and compilation of data, information and preparation of report/ document for publication. 7. The incumbent should possess strong writing ability and communication skill. 8. He / she should have the ability to formulate, design and implement education, extension and outreach programmes independently. 9. The engagement will be initially for a period of 1 (one) year. 10.No house rent or other allowance is admissible. However, TA/ DA shall be paid as per rule, when sent on official tours. 1. There will be no fee for SC/ ST candidates. 4. Attested copies of the certificates in support of educational qualification and experience should be enclosed. 5. If at any stage it is found that any attempt has been made by the applicant willfully to conceal or misrepresent the facts, his candidature shall be summarily rejected, his employment may be terminated along with legal prosecution initiated as deemed fit. 2

3 6. The applicant is required to furnish a certificate of declaration for authenticity of the information as provided in the application form. 7. Two sets of applications with all documents/enclosures complete in all respect should be sent by registered post / speed post / by person, so as to reach the Member Secretary, Odisha Biodiversity Board, RPRC Campus, Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar , Orissa on or before Incomplete application or late application for any reason received after the last date fixed shall not be entertained. The Board will not be liable for delay in receipt of application. 9. Only shortlisted candidate will be contacted for interview and decision of the Selection Committee will be final. 10.
