7 Workplace Health and Safety Services WHSS offers health and safety training, consultation, on-site assessments, and other services to promote: development of H&S management systems the use of H&S best practices a culture of H&S excellence 7

Small Business Health & Safety programs Free programs, services and resources designed for small businesses that pay less than $90,000 in annual premiums.

The programs include: Information sessions Health and safety program training One-time 5% rebate available On-site visits Small Business Health and Safety Leadership Awards (annual recognition) In 2016, $948,000 in rebates were paid to 706 small businesses. 8

Receive up to a 6% rebate by implementing health and safety initiatives (4%) and decreasing workplace injuries and illnesses (2%). The 2016 Safety Groups program year rebate was $28.7M. In 2016, 2,000 employers participated led by 30 sponsors. 9
