This handbook provides you with important and practical information about your accommodation whilst undergoing student placement. We trust that our services, support and advice will meet your expectations, and that your placement is a positive and rewarding learning experience. 4 Page 4 of 8 Applicants Declaration/Accommodation Agreement In signing the Application Declaration/Accommodation Agreement contained with the Accommodation Application Form you have accepted the rules of the Off-Campus Accommodation. This includes the weekly service fee and the length of time you agree to occupy the accommodation. You acknowledge that you have read the Three Rivers UDRH Off-Campus Code of Conduct and undertake to abide by the Code of Conduct whilst staying in this accommodation. If there is any dispute over anything related to your Off-Campus Accommodation, both yourself and Three Rivers UDRH are bound to act according to the terms and conditions as stated in the Accommodation Application Form and the Three Rivers UDRH Off-Campus Code of Conduct. Positively Rural Clinical Placement Handbook Our Positively Rural clinical placement handbook outlines the support activities offered by the Three Rivers Positively Rural team. It also details useful websites and resources to make rural clinical placements a positive and rewarding learning experience, as well as extensive information about the regional training centres which are a focus of the Three Rivers UDRH. This information is aimed to improve social inclusion for students living and learning in the region. A copy of the Handbook can be accessed at: Three Rivers UDRH Positively Rural Clinical Placement Handbook Arrival/Checking In to UDRH Off-Campus Accommodation Prior to Arrival Residents are required to make contact (during business hours) with Kylie Moran at St Vincent s Private Hospital 2 weeks prior to arrival to arrange a suitable time for orientation and issue of your Swipe Card. This Swipe Card will provide you with afterhours/weekend access into St Vincent s to utilise the Three Rivers UDRH dedicated study area within St Vincent s Private Hospital. Internet access is available in this study area. Prior to arrival St Vincent s will text or login details to you. These log in details will provide you with internet access within the Three Rivers UDRH dedicated study area within St Vincent s Private Hospital. Details of how to log in will be provided at the orientation. Checking In Residents will be required to check-in at St Vincent s Private Hospital reception for collection of keys, office hours are between 8.00am to 6pm Monday to Friday. For afterhours or weekend check-in collect the keys at the Inpatient Unit desk. If the front doors are locked you will need to press the after-hours buzzer and the ward staff will let you in. Enter the building and turn right (passing the reception area) then turn right again & you will see a 2nd waiting room and IPU ward desk. You will need to produce ID, i.e. Drivers Licence or CSU Student Card, to confirm your identity.

6 Page 6 of 8 Maintenance & Repairs Non-Urgent Repairs Contact Kylie Moran (during business hours) at St Vincent s Private Hospital for all non-urgent repairs and maintenance requests. Urgent Repairs Urgent repairs are essentially, any fault that disrupts the normal supply of water, sewerage, gas, electricity, cooking, heating, cooling. This also applies to any fault or damage that causes the property to be unsafe or insecure, and any damage caused by flooding or storms. For urgent repairs contact St Vincent s Private Hospital on Hospital staff will then contact the rostered on call person to address the issue. In event of an emergency repair St Vincent s Private Hospital, Three Rivers UDRH, CSU the Operator or any other authorised person may enter the premises without your permission to carry out urgent repairs. Lawns, Grounds and Gutters St Vincent s Hospital maintain lawns, grounds and gutters for unit accommodation, this work will be carried out on a regular basis. Departure/Checking Out of UDRH Off-Campus Accommodation Check out time is 9am on the day of departure. Keys On departure return keys to Kylie Moran at St Vincent s Hospital reception. Residents who lose or do not return keys or access cards allocated to them will be charged a fee for replacement. Residents may also incur a locksmith fee for changing locks to the premises. Cleaning/Rubbish Removal The accommodation is to be maintained in a clean condition at all times. The Three Rivers UDRH Off-Campus Accommodation Code of Conduct states that the resident must return the property in the same condition it was leased in, excluding any fair wear and tear. Residents are responsible for their own rubbish removal. Council bins have been provided. Take bins to the kerbside for collection on a weekly basis and return to the appointed unit when empty. The unit will be professionally cleaned after you check out, however only if the unit is not occupied by another student at the time. If the other bedroom is occupied please leave your room in a clean state. Linen Linen will be laundered by the cleaners after you check out, however only if the unit is not occupied by another student at the time. If the other bedroom is occupied you will need to wash your linen (sheets & towels) prior to checking out.
7 Page 7 of 8 CSU Safe What is CSU Safe? CSU Safe is a mass messaging communication and Campus Security access platform based on the Telstra Whispir system. This system is used by a number of government and private organizations for the delivery of emergency messages to large groups. There is no cost to register with the system and registrations are accepted from staff, students or any other visitors to CSU campuses. Note: Outbound text messages or data used may incur charges at the user's nominal rates. In event of an emergency residents may also contact St Vincent s on , hospital staff will then contact the rostered on-call person to address the issue. How to register with the CSU Safe system: Registering for CSU Safe alerts and Security notification is easy. Text/SMS your Off Campus Location name (as shown below) to Griffith Dubbo Orange Albury Wagga Emergency Notifications The University will limit messages sent via this system to those of High or Critical Importance. (This may also include low frequency test messages to enable the functionality of the system to be fully tested). Campus Security Requests Subscribers are also to request certain functions via Campus Security: Urgent Assistance Call Back Requests Working Out-of-Hours Notification Security Escort Request Follow the reply SMS prompts to add any Web Links to your device's home screen.
