Located i the warehouse of our Procuremet Departmet buildig, the traiig cetre is a moder facility that is fully equipped with a large workshop for traiig demostratios ad practical safety exercises as well as classrooms for skill traiig ad cotiual educatio ad kowledge developmet. Our immediate goal is to provide i-house traiig for our workforce, icludig operators of miig trucks, drillig rigs, excavators, forklifts, bulldozers ad graders. Over the loger term, we expect to make our traiig facility ad services available to the Mogolia miig idustry as we strive to lift safety stadard for the coutry. I order to become competet ad qualified to operate heavy vehicles o our miig projects i Mogolia we provide a structural traiig programme to staff. Our comprehesive operator traiig course lasts about five moths with 1,500 hours of traiig. Of this, a total of 268 hours of traiig will take place at the ew facility with the rest of the time at the projects field traiig areas. The course icludes classroom, simulatio, observatio field ad o-the-job traiig. HONG KONG Rovig lucheo safety talks I collaboratio with the Labour Departmet ad the Hog Kog Costructio Idustry Employees Geeral Uio, we orgaised rovig lucheo safety talks for costructio workers at our sites. Lauched o 14 Jue, the talks aimed to promote safety awareess amog the workers by sharig persoal experieces ad by examiig usafe practices that may cause ijuries or fatalities. Family members of deceased workers were also ivited to share their experieces, which gave everyoe a powerful remider to cherish their families ad ot risk their ow lives whe carryig out their work. Over 600 workers from four of our sites have participated i the talks so far.

Evirometal traiig Our Idoesia busiess has demostrated their strog commitmet to the eviromet recetly as they rolled out waste ad hydrocarbo maagemet traiig at the Wahaa ad Mahakam Sumber Jaya coal mies. About 40 people from each of the sites participated i four hours of evirometal traiig, which were coducted i-house ad icluded a PowerPoit presetatio ad a writte assessmet. The rollout of this importat iitiative paves the way for stadardised evirometal traiig to be implemeted at all our projects i Idoesia. Followig the rollout, we will cotiue to provide traiig to our workforce accordig to their traiig matrix. SINGAPORE - Loggig liftig data IRAQ - Oshore safety leader walk As part of the Strive for L I F E iitiative LO carried out a safety leadership walk o the Iraq Phase 1 Project at Fao Termial ad o the Beach Valve Statio costructio sites. The project risks were suitably idetified durig the KO meetig to esure that the appropriate cotrols were i place to protect the workers ad that the workers fully uderstood the risks associated with their daily tasks. Durig the safety walk the majority of the workers iterviewed demostrated a good kowledge ad uderstadig of the project risks ad cotrol measures to be applied. Awards were therefore preseted to the iterviewed As heavy liftig with fixed or mobile craes cotiues to be oe of activities that ca lead to Class 1 risk at our joit veture to costruct Jala Besar Statio, we took the iitiative with our subcotractor to retrofit oe of our craes with a data logger i a trial. With the data logger, we ca obtai real-time records of liftig iformatio that ca be tracked ad aalysed to idetify areas for improvig safety awareess ad performace. Sigapore Our joit veture to costruct Jala Besar Statio udergroud trai statio i Sigapore recetly became the first costructio project to bear the Eco-Office label uder a gree iitiative lauched i 2002 by the Sigapore Eviromet Coucil ad City Developmets. We are brigig the evirometal message to our project team by ecouragig all Leighto staff to icorporate gree practices ito their daily lives. We also aim to ispire ad educate our staff to do their part i preservig the eviromet. Idia - New wave Our target of 1.1 millio LTI-free ma-hours at our project to costruct the Wave II Project i Idia was achieved o 5 Jue. This meas the project has bee LTI-free for a year, which is a remarkable success sice the project faces umerous potetial Class 1 risks, such as operatig heavy machiery ad tower craes, workig at height ad fallig objects. The project team is cotiuously implemetig more effective cotrol measures to safely maage the etire operatio. Safe tuellig I the four-moth period from April to July, we recorded 2 millio LTI-free ma-hours at our project to costruct the 9-kilometre log Cheai-Nashri Tuel, Idia s logest road tuel, i the lower Himalaya moutai rage. This is a sigificat achievemet cosiderig the risks associated with the project s locatio i the state of Jammu ad Kashmir ad the difficulty of executig the tuellig works. We put i a lot of hard work to achieve this high level of safety at the project. Our project team has also dedicated a cosiderable amout of time to trai ad educate the workforce i safe workig practices ad is ow focusig o reachig 2 millio LTI-free ma-hours.
