Antibacterial Protection All Ontera health care products can be supplied with an antimicrobial treatment which inhibits the growth of bacteria and fungi. The following provides an overview of what we re doing to help the environment. Maximum credit points in Green Star Our products are engineered to provide maximum available points in the relevant sections of the Green Star ratings. Highest Level (Level 4) Of ACCS Environmental Certification Scheme All Ontera products are independently certified to Level 4 - the highest possible level - of the Australian Carpet Classification Environmental Certification Scheme (ECS). This guarantees maximum available points in the Materials Section of the Green Star rating tools. Low VOC Emitting Product All Ontera products have a Total Volatile Organic Compound emission rate less than 500 ug/m 2 /hr using the Carpet Institute of Australia Carpet Classification Scheme. This guarantees maximum available points in the IEQ Section of the Green Star rating tools. PVC Credit All polymers used in Ontera products have been engineered to meet the requirements stipulated in the GBCA s Best Practice Guidelines for PVC in the Built Environment. Accordingly all Ontera products can contribute the maximum available credit points in the PVC Credit section of Green Star. Responsible product stewardship Our advanced stewardship processes save resources, extend product life cycles and divert waste from landfill. As at July 2011 our EarthPlus program has resulted in over 150,000m 2 (700 tonnes) of used carpet tile being diverted from landfill to date. Advanced Renewal And Reuse Process At end-of-life Ontera provides the highest possible level of environmental stewardship by offering a renewal and reuse solution called EarthPlus. This is a three-step closed loop recovery process that super-cleans, retextures and updates designs on modular carpet for commercial customers. Due to its reused nature, EarthPlus allows significant savings when compared to the cost of new carpet and extends product life cycles while saving resources associated with replacing or recycling carpet. Guaranteed Product Take Back And Reuse Ontera will guarantee to take back product at the end of its life. Due to the highly engineered backing attributes and yarn systems utilised in all of our product ranges, we can confidently confirm that the products will be suitable for reprocessing through the EarthPlus process at the end of their life in use.
