3 Vis-a-Vis Innovative Völker Micro-stimulation System MiS The patented Völker MiS sleep deck, detects even small movements and responds with tactile stimulation. This responsive feedback promotes spontaneous movements and micro-circulation in the tissues to enhance blood circulation. This can lead to greater comfort, improved sleep, and increased mobility. Residents can sleep well, awaken well-rested and start the day feeling motivated. 3

4 Innovative split siderail system from Völker 3080 and Vis-a-Vis The patented Völker split siderail system (available on the 3080 and Vis-a-Vis bed) is highly versatile and provides residents with a secure support for repositioning in bed or pushing themselves up to leave the bed from the side. The system consists of head and foot telescopic split siderails that articulate in harmony with the bed s movements, providing full lateral protection from when the bed s sleep deck is level through to when the bed is in the sitting position. When fully raised, the versatile split siderails provide enhanced protection for the resident in a lying or sitting position. Völker split siderail system

5 Enhancing Care for Residents Independent egress The easy-to-grip split siderails provide secure support to enable safe and independent egress, which encourages resident independence. Residents can independently adjust the height and lying surface using the intuitive, ergonomically designed hand control The Völker Vis-a-Vis bed Mobilisation promotes participation in daily activities, as well as encouraging independence and wellbeing for residents of Long Term Care facilities. The Völker Vis-a-Vis bed with split siderails, supports safe mobilisation of residents to an upright sitting position, with minimal risk to resident and the caregiver. From this position, an individual caregiver can easily and safely mobilise the resident in a forward direction, until the individual is sitting upright with feet firmly planted on the floor. 7 Safe mobilisation for caregivers and residents 3080 When using Völker Long Term Care beds in combination with the range of lifts and accessories from Liko (a Hill Rom product brand), an individual caregiver can easily and safely mobilise the resident to a standing position with less risk of caregiver injuries. Liko offers a wide range of slings to accommodate a variety of resident care settings. Cleverly designed accessories, have a unique range of features that provide the flexibility to adapt each raising or lifting operation to the capabilities and specific needs of the resident.
