Dealing with the problems of this study course students will get acquainted with the essentials and clinical aspects of otorhinolaryngology, methods of examination of the patient and technique of the common performed operations. They get aquainted with the basic knowledges of otorhinonalaryngology and learn to use them in diagnosis and management of disorders of the ear, nose, sinuses, pharynx and larynx. Students have to be able to evaluate and interpret typical morphological and functional changes through additional audiological, endoscopical and radiological investigation, provide emergency assistances. The goal of this program is to provide the highest level of training in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, and to insure development of basic skills in diagnosis and treatment of oral & head and neck cancer, trauma, inflammations of oral and maxillofacial region. Analysing this modulus, students will have to learn to evaluate etiology, diagnosis and principles of treatment in cases of sudden and chronic visual loss, caused by different eye diseases and pathologies. Dealing with the problems of this study course students get acquainted with the essentials and clinical aspects of otorhinolaryngology, duties of the otorhinolaryngologist in the hospital and outpatient clinic, methods of examination of the patient and technique of the common performed operations. They get aquainted with the basic knowledges of otorhinonalaryngology and learn to use them in diagnosis and management of disorders of the ear, nose, sinuses, pharynx and larynx. After finishing the course students must to know the essentials of the most common adult and pediatric otorhinolaringological diseases, diagnostic tests, principles of treatment; peculiarities of emergency aid. Students have to be able to evaluate and interpret typical morphological and functional changes through additional audiological, endoscopical and radiological investigation, provide emergency assistances. 2 To conclude this modulus, students must define, analyse, explain and relate information that was given during this modulus. To achieve the goal students have to acquire knowledge in structure, function, disorders and the mechanisms: To repeat clinical anatomy and physiology of eye, ear, nose, face, maxilla, sinuses, pharynx, larynx and analyse their changes in different pathological processes. To get acquainted with etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment and prophylaxis of the congenital and acquired acute and chronic, adult and pediatric, organic and functional otorhinolaringological diseases To learn basic otorhinolaryngological examination and interpretation of clinical signs To know indications of additional examination methods of ear, nose and throat diseases as well as interpretation of changes. To know the most common otorhinolaryngological diseases, principles of treatment, indications for surgical treatment To know the emergency aid in cases of acute hearing loss, bleeding, trauma, burns, and choking, laryngeal stenosis. To learn principles of preoperative preparation and postoperative surveillance in otorhinolaryngology Find out etiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis, treatment and prophylaxis in tumors and traumas of the maxillofacial region Learn to provide emergency assistance in trauma of the maxillofacial region Know diagnostic methods, adapt them on maxillofacial diseases, interpret pathological changes during long term course Know the most common treatments of inflammation in the maxillofacial region, indication for surgical treatment Know basic information and provide emergency assistance in bleeding, trauma and burn injuries Master basic information about preoperative and post operative care of the maxillofacial patients Learning outcomes of the programme Professional attributes: act fairly, think critically and self-critically, be emphatic, creative, take the initiative, follow to ethical obligations Learning outcomes of the course unit Be able to act fairly and according to ethical obligations.
