However, the battle that often occurs between people with dementia and their caregivers is in most cases preventable. Circumstances surrounding change of condition citations often are cited in multiple areas on the survey including citations regarding resident health services, service plans, reasonable precautions, and others. In this session, representatives from the community based care survey unit will discuss the surveyor perspective on change of condition citations. They will review the change of condition rules and the surveyor expectations for staying in compliance and what constitutes a change of condition for them.
