Nurse Leaders Summit July 28-29, 2016 The Nurse Leader Summit is a day-and-a-half of content designed with our nursing leaders in mind. During the Summit, time will be allowed for networking and best-practice sharing. Audience: Nurse Managers, Directors of Nursing, Assistant Directors of Nursing & Supervisors Fall Conference October 3-4, 2016 The Fall Conference begins with the highly-anticipated Assisted Living Compliance Update, followed by the Quarterly Compliance Update and capped off by a welcome reception. The average cost of pressure ulcer treatment per ulcer is $5,000-$60,000. During this half-day seminar, we will review the principles of wound healing and management and learn wound assessment and necessary documentation. 5 mds & medicare AANAC RAC-CT Program June 7-9, 2016 AANAC s Resident Assessment Coordinator Certified (RAC-CT ) certification is the distinguishing characteristic of an expert in resident assessment. Constantly reviewed and updated by a team of experts, the RAC-CT program will help you to distinguish yourself as a valuable asset to any long-term care organization. In this program, you ll immerse yourself in clinical assessment and care planning, completion of the MDS, and the regulatory body surrounding the RAI/MDS process. MDS Basics February 2 June 14 October 11 This full-day course is designed for those new to the MDS who need a basic understanding of the manual and assessments. It provides instructions on the most current CMS guidelines as well as timing and scheduling of assessments and highlighted sections from Chapter 3. It will also include pertinent updates and changes, as it is imperative that staff completing the MDS understand the guidelines and regulations. Audience: All disciplines who are either new to the MDS 3.0 completion process or who desire an in-depth review of completing the MDS 3.0 Faculty: Nancy Bensen, RHIA, RAC-CT, Health Information Consultant - Med-Rec Systems MDS Beyond the Basics February 3 June 15 October 12 This full-day course is designed for those currently completing the MDS who need a more in-depth look at the assessments and sections.
