2 The Bene t Enquiry Line for people with Disabilities provides free information on any bene ts available. It includes information on Sickness, DLA, Invalid Care Allowance and other information on bene ts for carers. They are open: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.30pm and Saturdays 9.00am to 1.00pm. Islington Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) Advice & Learning Centre 86 Durham Road Finsbury N7 7DU Tel: Website: Islington CAB offers free general information and advice on welfare bene ts, debt, consumer issues, employment, housing and immigration. It provides specialist immigration and welfare rights advice to those who qualify under the Community Legal Service Scheme. It also offers outreach sessions on welfare rights in GPs surgeries in North Islington. The CAB no longer run a drop-in service. However, you can phone for advice or book an appointment by telephoning the number above Monday to Friday between 10.00am to noon. They also provide comprehensive information on housing matters on their answering machine. The Welfare Bene ts advice can only be given to clients whose case is in conjunction with other issues unless they are referred directly through Camden CAB service. They are available Monday to Friday 9.30am to 5.30pm (Closed at lunchtime: 1.00am to 2.00pm). Interpreters can be arranged if you let them know in advance. The of ces are on the ground oor. They are wheelchair accessible via a mobile ramp and lift up 3 steps. Your local D.E.A. may be able to offer you basic advice on bene ts available in relation to new schemes for employment.
