This special launch edition looks at all the activity that took place to help secure the future of the service. 1 Firstly, the majority of existing subscribers signed up with WMJobs up until March Secondly, as a result of the three year commitment for services WMJobs were able to sign the contract with Lumesse for its applicant tracking system, on Friday 29 July 3 Thirdly, the We Manage Jobs website launched! A service we know is valued by you WMJobs is pleased to confirm 27 local authorities have pledged their ongoing support by signing a three year contract. The 1.2 million contract, with councils and fire services paying according to their staffing headcount and the level of service subscribed to, is for running local authority recruitment platforms until The three year deal will see 27 public sector organisations continue to use the wmjobs website for all job vacancies. Head of Finance Sharon Philips countersigning the contracts Some authorities will take advantage of the We Manage Jobs (WMJobs) DBS service and its back office application process managing all external job applications as well as all internal vacancies. 2 REBRAND LAUNCH ACTIVITY Launch film The team produced a short three minute film about working in the public sector for the new website. WMJobs We Manage Jobs Your Public Sector Job Site As part of the re-launch WMJobs went live with its new logo. The new logo whilst retaining the WMJobs identity incorporated We Manage Jobs into the title this is in preparation for a national launch in Watch this space! BRAND AMBASSADORS Posing three simple questions: What s it like working in the public sector? What skills do you need to work in the public sector? Why work in the public sector? Starring senior and junior representatives from Sandwell MBC, Warwickshire CC, Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service and the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner s office the film highlights just how special the public sector is. WMJobs Marketing and Communications Manager Zoe Lee said: A huge thank you to all those who took part it s a big ask for people to speak in front of a camera - for many it is worse than a trip to the dentist! All of the cast were fantastic and you can tell they are really speaking from the heart and that makes for compelling viewing. COMPETITION To celebrate the new site and go live the team launched a Get Interview Ready competition for job seekers! Up for grabs was tailored expert careers advice and 100 to spend on interview attire. With six chances of winning all people had to do was retweet the competition tweet and put the #WMJobs. The competition was a hit WITH OVER 200 RE-TWEETS! Look out for details on the winners on twitter soon. GET INTERV EW READY with We Manage Jobs To help promote the new site and the Get Interview Ready competition noticed WMJobs brand ambassadors took to Birmingham New Street station on the Friday following go live! Working two shifts, targeting the morning and evening rush hour, the ambassadors wore brightly coloured WMJobs Get Interview Ready T-shirts. A total of 2500 leaflets were handed out carrying news on the competition on one side and then information on WMJobs on the other.

3 Link in with us! In a move to expand its digital footprint WMJobs has created a Linkedin profile. The profile will be used to build brand awareness and will feature articles/updates on: Events we ve attended/ spoken at relevant to resourcing Exec appointments News/insights from research we ve undertaken Campaigns launched Published articles Recruitment advice and comment pieces on recruitment trends The official launch will be towards the end of the month. The WMJobs linkedin page is live now and people can sign up as followers in anticipation of that first launch update. Simply search WMJobs on linkedin to find the page. Twitter on the up! Goodie Goodie! To celebrate the launch and to thank subscribers and the companies working behind the scenes to make it happen, WMJobs sent out thank you goodie bags! The WMJobs branded bags contained a thank you card, sweets, a note pad and a selfie stick with the task of tweeting us a So far only Sandwell MBC and Lumesse have risen to the challenge! Come on! Sweet delivery They say the way to anyone s heart is with cake (well they should) and that s exactly what WMJobs did with two radio breakfast shows! Baking all night (ahem) and up before the birds were singing marketing and communications manager Zoe Lee took branded WMJobs cakes to some of the region s breakfast DJs. Hitting gold on her first delivery with radio station Heart FM opening it s doors and posing for a photo. Free Radio was a little trickier to get into but after sweet talking a security guard, speaking to a voice over an intercom at Free she was able to drop off a cake at reception and got involved in some online banter with the breakfast hosts on Twitter!

WMP signing up takes the number of total WMJobs subscribers up to 28. West Midlands Employers has been shortlisted in the prestigious Personnel Today Awards Shortlisted in the category of best consultancy, WME had to clearly demonstrate why its services stand out from the rest in order to beat stiff competition to become a finalist. WME is truly unique as it is a not for profit organisation. Working with public sector bodies helping to create and support a strong public sector workforce making it a strong contender in its category. WME is the only public sector organisation in its category and will compete against HR Advise Me, Paydata, Purple HR, Real People HR and Talking Talent for the top spot! Organisations from a broad range of industries in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors made the shortlist this year. Personnel Today Editor Rob Moss said: The entries exhibited a passion and innovation that made it very difficult to choose who would make the final list. The shortlisted companies hailed from many different sectors from big names such as Barclays and Dixons Carphone to smaller employers and consultancies like WME. The way the awards are judged means each entry receives a credit for the scale of the work it undertook, meaning that small and large organisations are often pitted against each other. We are thrilled with this as we feel it recgonises all of the hard work we have put in across the region and reflects the joint successes we have had with the local authorities we work so closely with.
