1 An Intro to "What is IEEE-USA and what does it do for me 21 January 2012
2 IEEE-USA Mission shall be to recommend policies and implement programs specifically intended to serve and benefit the members, the profession, and the public in the United States in appropriate professional areas of economic, ethical, legislative, social and technology policy concern. IEEE-USA shall be the organizational unit that represents the professional interests of the IEEE before U.S. governmental bodies Source: IEEE-USA Bylaw I-303(8); IEEE-USA Policy 1.1
3 IEEE-USA Operations (Summary) Budget: $5.5 million in 2012 Volunteer Structure: Board of Directors, Operating Committee and Assembly, plus 25 chartered committees/councils, overseeing programs and operations of 750+ volunteers (including volunteers in the PACE Network).
