Question and Answer Session Wednesday, July 11th 11:00am 12:30pm EST This year, the Federal Student Aid (FSA) Technology Office will be hosting the Software Developers Conferences (SDC) in a quarterly, webinar format. We completed our first webinar on March 9, 2012, and it is now time for our second webinar. The webinars are designed for software developers, their customers, and institutions that develop software for the purpose of Title IV financial aid processing. The objective is to provide information on recent legislative changes and enhancements to FSA systems such as COD, NSLDS and CPS. Based upon the feedback received from the SDC Webinar I, we are changing the format of the SDC Webinar II. The SDC videos and MS PowerPoint presentations will be made available no later than Wednesday, June 27th for viewing. On Wednesday, July 11th, 2012 presenters will be available for questions and answers from 11:00am 12:30pm (EST). Topics for the first webinar will include the impact of recent legislative changes, enhancements and updates to FSA systems such as COD, NSLDS and CPS. There will also be discussion on New Pell Limits, changes to student loans, gainful employment rates and file layouts. Lastly, in an effort to continuously improve the overall security posture of institutions of higher education who administer Title IV financial aid, the protection of Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and an update on Two-Factor Authentication will also be covered. We will be taking questions live on Wednesday, July 11th. On June 5, Vice President Biden, Secretary Duncan, CFPB Director Cordray and College Presidents met with colleges and universities that committed to financial aid transparency to provide students and their families with the clear, useful information to make the best decisions about where to enroll and what kind of financial commitment they are taking on with their investment in higher education.! Each institution represented participants at the meeting committed to providing the following information in one easy-to-understand place, to all incoming students as part of their financial aid package beginning with the school year:!
