3 ICP country participation and survey schedule The decision on CIS participation in the 2017 Global ICP has been taken at the Meeting of CIS Prime Ministers on October 28, Expected participating countries are: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. We plan to collect all data using full items list for CIS ICP Estimated total number of items for household consumption about Estimated total number of items for machinery and equipment about 500. The data collection is to be carried out during the 2017 with different time schedules for different items. Survey schedule includes: - monthly or quarterly surveys for household consumption starting in April 2017; - annual surveys for housing, government, machinery and equipment, construction and civil engineering. 3

4 2. Status of 2017 regional items lists and operational material Regional items list for consumer goods and Survey Guidelines are being prepared now. The translated the recommendations on survey guidelines into Russian. The list will consist of EU/OECD items, Global Core List and regional items. The preliminary list will be discussed in April on the regional meeting of experts. We plan to start preparing the list of investment items in the second quarter of Countries will start surveys for machinery and equipment and for construction in the third quarter. 4

Workshops, capacity-building and outreach activities In 2017 the plans to hold 2 meetings: - the regional meeting of CIS experts on reconciliation of consumer items (3-7 April, 2017) - the regional meeting of CIS experts on identification of investment items and discussion of PPP (on November, 2017). 5
