8 ANCES It is a private non-profit association with its own legal status. Spanish Business and Innovation Centres Association: 23 CEEIs / BICs 358 staff (more than 200 project technicians) sqm for incubation of Innovating Enterprises It sprang from the idea of promoting economic and industrial development through the BICs, leading its experience in the creation of new SMEs based on innovative elements with the potential for development.

10 The Cooperation ANCES cooperates with a large number of public and private companies, thus, it is achieving the Association s aim, representing its associates and defending their interests jointly. It stays in touch mainly with the following entities: The European Association of BICs (EBN) The Ministries of Industry, Commerce and Tourism; Science and Education; and Labour. National organisations:cdti (Centre for development of Industrial Technology), Genoma España-Foundation for Development of Genomic and Proteomic Research, ENISA, The Spanish Federation of Innovation and Technology Organisations (FEDIT) and the Association of Scientific and Technology Parks of Spain (APTE).
