5 Small Business Registration Process 1. APPLICATION: Completed application will be approved/declined within 1 business day. 2. MEMBERSHIP: After your firm is approved for membership, a temporary online marketing profile (status=pending) will be set-up and available for review by our current Clients. This is a complimentary service. 3. MARKETING PROFILE: Your contact information, company description (250 character max), logo (optional), business hours and industry will be published in your online marketing profile. 4. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: (a) Membership Approval: Your firm may purchase yearly membership subscription (based on your firms annual gross revenue). Your temporary profile will be deleted within 30 days. (b) Upon Receipt of Payment: Your firm will receive a Third Party Verification Package via . This package must be completed and returned to McElroy Enterprises within 90 days of receipt. (c) Marketing Profile Update: Your firms an online marketing profile will be set-up with a STATUS OF PENDING APPROVAL, your capability statement will be added, before/after shots of your work, video, and presentation(s). Then your profile is available for active viewing by our Clients. The description section of the profile will include information we are able to validate. (d) Credential Validation Completion: Your firms capabilities, current/past performance, partners, certifications, etc. are added to your profile and profile status will change from PENDING to APPROVED. (e) Businesses and/or Agencies Target Market: After your profile is completed, we will contact and market your profile to our existing Clients and to a maximum of three (3) additional primes, private, public, non-profit and/or government agencies. Note: Firm application declined may re-apply after 30 days (no exceptions). In May 2011, Military Extravaganza hosted at the University of Maryland Cole Fieldhouse, College Park, more than 100 exhibitors pre-screened and interviewed 500 job candidates, more than 45% of the job candidates landed employment within 45 days. In November 2010, Veterans Extravaganza hosted at the Show Place Arena, Upper Marlboro, Maryland more than 170 exhibitors participated in the event A salute to our veterans, military service members and their families. The participants arrived from Alaska, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, New York, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Texas. The extravaganza included a hiring fair, 8 seminars, veteran benefits and services, veterans mobile health van, acupuncture treatments, small business forum, a kiddy barracks and several prize giveaways including two (2) brand new cars donated by platinum sponsor Mr. & Mrs. George Diaz of Dynamic Network Solutions, Stafford, Virginia. In May 2010, Community & Veterans Job Fair hosted at the Show Place Arena, Upper Marlboro, Maryland more than 40 employers searched for qualified job candidates. The job fair was a huge success. Employers ranked job candidate qualification, interviewing skills, professionalism and overall skill matches superior to other job fairs in the local Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The high ranking of job candidates can be directly contributed the Job Candidate Certification (JCC) job training prior to the event. More than 45% of the 2,175 job candidates attended JCC training prior to attending the job fair. Several employers expressed the high level of candidate matches as well. This can be directly contributed to the pre-screening processes of McElroy Enterprises. In May 2009, "Light Up Washington" (District of Columbia) moved to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center Washington, DC where more than 100 exhibitors showcased their wares and 1,700 small business owners attended. 600 plus candidates applied for positions with 100 successfully employed. Over 1,000 persons attended 24 seminars and more than 165 small business owners, government officials and private industry firms were present for the "Light Up Washington" Awards and Recognition Luncheon.
