3 PROGRAM DESCRIPTION The Alignment of Capabilities for Internationalization is a Technological Development Program (Programa de Desarrollo Tecnológico) financed by CORFO, the Chilean Production Development Corporation (Corporación de Fomento de la Producción de Chile), and organized and executed by Endeavor Chile, a non-profit dedicated to fostering high-impact entrepreneurship, alongside Vantaz Group, a global consulting firm with a strong presence in Chile and Australia. The Alignment of Capabilities for Internationalization program is the second part of a two-pronged program whose mission is to introduce Chilean technological companies operating in Chile's illustrious mining industry to the METS model, which has been very successful at positioning Australia's industrial products and services on the international stage. The program aims to facilitate knowledge transfer and the sharing of best practices between Chilean and Australian entrepreneurs with the ultimate goal of installing a HUB in Australia where the participating Chilean companies can begin to offer their products and services to the Australian market and beyond.

4 Participating Companies AUSTRALIAS METS PROGRAM By Endeavor / CORFO / Vantaz AGUAMARINA Entrepreneur: Pamela Chávez Aguamarina is a biotechnology company that provides products and services for the mining industry to control dust, mitigate corrosion, water treatment, and increase the mineral yields of leach dumps. Aguamarina also offers molecular biology research and evaluation services. BEJOS Entrepreneur: Mauricio Svriz BEJOS is an engineering company that, among its services, reuses ash byproducts to ecologically produce bricks and other construction materials. Bejos also offers organic lubrication products and additives for non-metallic mining. First-Class Mining Attachments (FMA) Entrepreneurs: Hernán and Gonzalo Restini FMA designs and develops products that provide semi-customized solutions to large mining conglomerates and their network of contractors, through a full line of high-quality auxiliary equipment and special tools with high operational efficiency and long lifetimes.. The company has partnerships with major manufacturers of earthmoving machinery such as Komatsu and Caterpillar, providing special tools that complement their products in OEM (original equipment manufacturer) and in addition, FMA is

5 continuously designing new products to mechanize and automate various tasks. INNOVEX Entrepreneurs: Patricio Catalán, Gonzalo Santamarina Innovex manufactures oceanographic instruments that are essential tools for the monitoring and control of production stages for mining y aquiculture industries. It is a young, innovative company, whose main component is I&D, allowing them to design, develop, manufacture and deploy quickly, efficiently and safely, the new technologies that support the decision-making process. EXPERTICIA INGENIEROS Entrepreneurs: Gonzalo Núñez, Javier Suazo, Osiel Núñez Experticia Ingenieros is an engineering and services company focused on air quality management. Its specialized services and products aims to control and manage dust and gases emissions in the mining operations, through different technologies, achieving clean work spaces and emissions below the current regulations, keeping safe the worker s health, the industrial assets integrity and the environment.

6 SMG Ingeniería Entrepreneurs: Manuel Acuña, Alexis Arancibia, Alexis Urbina SMG, based in Antofagasta, is a mining engineering company that has invented the Conjunto Manto Irrigador, or CMI. The CMI streamlines the recuperation of copper, a process called leaching, by combining the irrigation tubing and plastic liner necessary for optimizing extraction. The CMI can save up to 30% in operational costs and boost copper recovery by 12%. CGS Entrepreneurs: Alessio Arata, Adolfo Arata CGS is a strategic consulting company oriented towards operational reliability. CGS is leader in Chile in the field of development and implementation of improving initiatives in productive and operating establishments in design or operation phase. CGS has a team of about 20 highly qualified professionals in different fields of engineering, management, development and project control. One of their products is RMES, a system that allows the maintenance management using analysis of historic data and probabilistic methods. PROACTIVEOFFICE Entrepreneur: Sergio López ProactiveOffice is a Chilean web application dedicated to managing projects, documents, and risk in addition to supporting the costs and budgets for each project. The platform uses an adaptive methodology that simplifies the way you manage projects and initiatives. The application has currently managed over 234,000 jobs and has monitored more than 18,000 projects. ProactiveOffice s customers include the Government of Chile, Entel, Cencosud, and the Metro de Santiago, among others.

7 SCRUM Entrepreneurs: Patricio Rojas, Alfredo Gómez Scrum is a software developing company that provides IT solutions (software) for onsite operations, logistics, and traceability for the mining industry. The company is dedicated to creating standardized tracking and storage software that generate quality metrics, and provide geolocation Pit to Port of its customers copper cathodes. Scrum currently has a partnership with Entel for the distribution of Maskana, one of their star product. TESRA Entrepreneurs: Gerardo Olivares, Juan Vergara Tesra is dedicated to the development of technological solutions for the mining and railroad industries. The company s most recognized products are its short-circuit detection system in electro-winning (EW) plants for copper cathodes and a mining pipeline inspection system. Additionally, Tesra also provides wear assessment services for railways in Bolivia. PROTAB Entrepreneurs: Marcelo Villalobos, Felipe De Vits Protab is a company that integrates technological projects to the mining automation, focused on the design and implementation of applied technology solutions that allow the support operational connectivity needed in mining, in real time, with high availability and adding value to the customer through the use of information. This company offers services in the fields of mine connectivity,, communications, automation and video surveillance.
