1 Every Student, Every Day Attendance Initiative Proposal Form Schools, First Nations, School Councils, parents, teachers, students, clubs, communities and the Yukon Francophone School Board/Commission scolaire francophone du Yukon (CSFY) are encouraged to submit a proposal for a grant from the Victoria Gold Yukon Student Encouragement Society Every Student,Every Day fund to help improve attendance in their local schools. The total fund is $50,000, which will be distributed among the schools that submit proposals on or before Friday, March 10, 2017 and have their proposals selected by the Every Student, Every Day Attendance Initiative committee. Schools, First Nations, School Councils, parents, teachers, clubs, communities, and the Yukon Francophone School Board/Commission scolaire francophone du Yukon (CSFY) (or community partnerships combining more than one group) can submit a proposal for innovative projects that connect to the goal of improving attendance. More than one proposal can be submitted for each school community. Three broad categories for proposals include, though are not limited to: Focusing on the issue(s) of attendance - engaging the community or assisting parents in supporting daily school attendance Acting to improve attendance supports, material or personnel, for actions identified within the proposal Monitoring and adjusting current attendance initiatives tools and/or research to assess the effectiveness of plans currently in place to improve attendance in order to make revisions to actions and interventions. Please print the attached form and complete each area of the proposal. All proposals must be submitted by March 10, 2017, to: Simon Blakesley Simon.Blakesley@gov.yk.ca ed or faxed proposals must be followed by the original proposal signed by the school Principal.
