2 VII. NEW BUSINESS A. Bill 1648 Allison Hall n Nuggets Basketball i. Presented by Nicholas Contreras ii. First reading: Waived iii. Presentation: C> Event: a. Nuggets v Pelicans Basketball Game, plus transportation D> Why? a. Right after spring break, a way to solidify connections that have already been made b. Event isn t about the game itself, it s about the connections built during the game c. Will allow people from all over the hall to come together and make connections: event is relatively long E> Cost? a. 7 dollars a person will come from residents to hold them accountable to their spot and their positive representation of CSU iv. Q&A C> Lauren: How does this promote leadership? a. During the bus ride, we are going to talk about what it means to represent csu, and apply that to basketball b. Seeing leadership via the RAs and D> Bronson: what is the plan for advertising? a. Posters, fliers, word of mouth. We are going to have the sign-up sheet and the collection of money at the Allison front desk. If we don t get all 20 resident spots filled, we are planning to open this to other halls E> Kyra: how are you going to encourage connections? a. Facilitating discussions

3 b. Breaking down barriers between residents from different areas F> Jasmine: how are you going to collect money from all over campus if the program gets opened up to all of campus a. I haven t made a plan for that, but I imagine that it would work in the same way we have established in Allison; we talked to the CDM and they have informed all of their front desk staff G> Jenny: yield H> Allison: In the event that not all spots would be filled, how are you going to advertise to other halls a. Posters placed that Friday, and give them the weekend to sign up on a first come-first serve basis v. Discussion C> Kyra: LV appreciates that they have gone through the process of making backup plans and really solidifying the details D> Dylan: Towers like that this is a very well thought out bill E> Bronson: Braiden likes the fact that they have a deposit by residents to hold residents accountable F> Cali: LV has a concern that having people have to pay limits the inclusivity of this bill G> Caroline: Parmelee wants to point out that having students pay doesn t have any effect on how well students represent CSU H> Bronson: presentation was on par with RHA s values I> Adrianna: motion to emergency status a. Ad-hoc recommendation: recommended b. Seconded by Bronson c. Discussion

Seconded by Adrianna: R> Braiden: We like the idea of holding residents accountable S> Caty: I motion to friendly amend the bill to have a resident fee of $5 a. Accepted b. New total=640 T> Vote: VIII. OLD BUSINESS A. Bill 1640 Spring Drag Show i. Moira: Point of information, we need to suspend our constitution in order to vote on this bill ii. Adrianna: I move to suspend the part of the constitution that says that we cannot vote on this bill C> Vote: iii. Bronson: Braiden Hall council liked this bill and thinks it supports our values

5 C> Jaylene: motion to end discussion a. Seconded by Adrianna iv. Vote: C> B. Bill 1642 Corbett Hall s 2 nd Annual T-shirt Design Contest i. Discussion: ii. Tasha: yield to gallery to discuss updates C> Bill author: a. We have talked to our hall council and our RA staff, and we have secured 750 from our RA staff and 250 from hall council. We also got a discount on shirts, so now we will be getting 500 shirts and asking for $1075 from rha D> Jasmine: Motion to friendly amend this bill to a new total: now requesting $1075 for 500 shirts E> Jaylene: yield to the gallery: when will the shirts be passed out and does that affect the date funding is needed? a. Let us check F> Caty: Braiden hall likes that the bill authors were not only able to get more funding but also able to get more shirts G> Kenneth: yield to the gallery, do you have a plan for if you don t pass out all the shirts like last year? a. Actually, last year there were no leftover shirts and we don t anticipate there being any this semester H> Caroline: Parmelee likes that they moved the distribution date to the end of the year program because I feel like that makes it even more special. I> Cali: yield to the gallery: do we have an update on the time funding is requested? a. March 27

6 J> Adrianna: friendly amend to move the date of funding to the 27 th of march a. Accepted K> Bronson: Braiden Hall believes that as a senator, I know my hall council well enough to say that I can confidently vote on this bill for my hall council L> Kyra: Motion to table bill till next week a. Seconded by Cali b. Dissent by Jordan: i. Dissent retracted c. Dissent by Bronson, for the reasons stated above i. Vote: d. Dissent fails, motion passes, bill will be tabled to next week C. RHA Cabinet By-Laws Legislation i. Discussion: C> Maddie: Newsom hall likes this legislation D> Bronson: Braiden believes that this legislation aligns the cabinet duties with the role of RHA E> Dylan: Towers like the separation of advocacy and administration from financial duties F> Jaelene: move to end discussion a. Seconded by Adrianna ii. Vote: C> Note: This legislation will take effect after the current session IX. PRESENTATIONS A. NACURH i. NCC & NCC-IT ii. Presentation attached to minutes

There are such a diverse amount of opportunities that you can participate in it E> Applications open today, close march 21 st F> All expense paid for trip! iii. Q&A C> Mitchell: don t the RHA/NRHH presidents have to go? a. Yes, the upcoming presidents will be required to attend D> Julia: if we are all coming from different places, won t we be coming in at different times? a. We try to plan to avoid that, but almost always we are there around the same time and it s not a big deal E> Naomi: will we get an excused absence letter to give to an employer or professor a. Yes F> Morgan: will we get an excused absence if we are taking a class at another university? a. That will be up to the professors discretion B. NRHM i. Presentation by Director of Outreach ii. Programming! X. CABINET REPORTS A. President i. Nothing to report B. Director of Business Administration i. We got a thank you letter from SURJ. Just wanted to share with you that you are maiking an impact on campus! C. Director of Marketing and Promotions i. New senators, come get stuff!

8 ii. Recognition winners, see me after the meeting D. Director of Residential Events and Programming i. Beauty and the beast movie program the week after spring break E. Director of Outreach i. Morgan is our new ASCSU liaison ii. We still need one operations management liasion F. Director of Residential Development i. New development activity: presentation from resources for disabled students G. NACURH Communications Coordinator i. CO/WY conference! Two spots are still open. If you are interested, you have to H. NRHH i. OTMS are due this week! ii. Please be nice and respectful to each other and to bill authors XI. COMMITTEE REPORTS A. Marketing and Promotions i. We finished up our script for marketing and promotion, so look out for that B. Events and Programming i. Programmers are bouncing around ideas for end of the year programs C. Outreach i. We finished our surveys, here is some of the feedback we received: C> Liked alternative Halloween D> Want to see athletic- related programs E> Want to see programs in partnership with the SDPS offices D. Residential Development i. Worked on one of our ongoing projects, it s a secret but you will see it soon!

9 XII. LIAISON REPORTS A. LSC Governing Board i. Nothing to report B. Operations Management i. Nothing to report C. ASCSU i. ASCSU passed a resolution supporting CSU's commitment to make CSU completely green by ii. ATFAB (Alternative Transportation Fee Advisory Board are looking to increase the amount of student fees they are allocated so they can have more programs. iii. It is Holocoust Awareness Month so keep an eye out for the different programs and speakers they have for that. iv. Leymah Gbowee a Nobel peace laureates will be speaking at CSU on March 6th at 6pm. v. ASCSU elections are coming up so if you are interested contact Sam Barthel at ASCSU_elections@mail.colostate.edu. Be aware that every position is up for grabs and if you do plan to run you have a orientation session to attend before break. vi. Local elections are happening on April 14th. Because of this ASCSU is having the city council nominees and sector 5 nominees for a debate on Tues day March 21st from 5:30-7:30 pm in the Longs peak ball room. They ask if you wish to submit questions that you refrain from U+2 and noise ordinance questions since they are already asked so much, and instead ask that you ask questions about how they will benefit and help students. vii. It is black history month and there will be inclusive excellence workshops happening. the next one is on March 28th from 5-6:30 about sexual orientation, and another one on April 27 from 6:30-7 about race and ethnicity. viii. It is now body acceptance week so look out for the different events that will be happening.

10 ix. Mental health week is April x. March 31 send-sadness-packing for suicide awareness. xi. Elections committee application for ASCSU is open to anyone online at the ASCSU website under the judicial branch, or Nick at and Sam (His is in the other elections part of this report). RamEvents xii. Movie premiers this Thursday in the LSC Theatre a xiii. Ted Talks at CSU- buy tickets at RamEvents ticket website D. EcoLeaders i. Nothing to report XIII. ADVISOR REPORTS A. Will be sending out our Campus Newsletter B. Live on Date extended till March 10 th C. Applications for Ram Welcome Leaders are about to go out i. Cabinet members D. Leadership institute i. May 15-May 20 th ii. Applications due March 20 th iii. Changed Mitchell s life XIV. HALL COUNCIL REPORTS A. Academic Village a. Just finished a program, started talking about the end of the year B. Allison a. Acquired a new VP b. Working on a mural competition c. Planning a harry potter marathon C. Braiden a. Valentines event went well b. Had a Ram Ready time c. We are trying to get Braiden a snapchat filter

Working on a stress relief program sometime this week XV. OPEN FORUM AND GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS A. Lauren: Choir concert on Thursday at the UCA, I will be in it so y all should come B. Maddie: On march 31 st, there will be backpacks in the Edwards lawn to commemorate students who have committed suicide C. Kait: tells joke D. Maddie: I m writing an article about what it is like to live on campus a second year, I can t interview you all cause I know you but if you have any friends that are returners o campus, please let me know E. Mod pizza is giving free 11 inch pizzas to everyone who has a student ID this Saturday F. Maggie: I am an orientation leader, and I can nominate people to be a Ram-Welcome leader. If you want to be nominated, let me know. G. Naomi: motion to end open forum
