2 Choice of Workshops: Tools and Means for Growing the Social Economy 1. Social and Community Entrepreneurship Get to know and understand various forms of social economy enterprises. Facilitators: Catherine Côté and Jean-Denis Gill Summary: This workshop will examine the two forms of social economy collectives: cooperatives and associations. The steps from pre-startup to growth will be presented, including getting off the ground, governance, and funding. The ABCs of Funding for Social Economy Enterprises Learn about social economy funding tools and strategies suitable for First Nations realities. Facilitators: Jinny Thibodeau and Anne-Claire Museux Summary: This workshop will take participants through the steps involved in bringing a social economy enterprise to maturity, meeting its funding needs effectively (funding sources, social economy nancing actors in Quebec), and applying for funding from these sources.
