1 Alaska State Energy Efficiency Retreat Day One: Exploring Energy Efficiency Resource Standards (EERS) Day Two: Advancing Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) September 8-9, 2016 Atwood Building 550 W 7 th Ave., Anchorage, AK Agenda The objective of the retreat is to kick off a robust discussion of leading policy tools available to meet the state s goal of achieving 15 percent energy efficiency by 2020, based on 2010 baseline, and to identify actionable steps to meet or surpass that goal. 9:30 10:00 am Registration Coffee will be provided Thursday, September 8 10:00 10:30 am Welcome and Overview Alaska state officials provide context for the retreat and NGA staff will provide an overview of the agenda and retreat objectives. Participants will introduce themselves and briefly share interests with energy efficiency. Regarding energy efficiency, where would you like the state to be in 2 years? 5 years? 10 years? What actions would you like to see Alaska take to advance the conversation around an EERS? How might an EERS be helpful in achieving Alaska s goal of 15% energy efficiency by 2020? What challenges do you see around an EERS? What are ways to address those challenges?
