2 Event Overview Event Background Protecting and sustaining the environment has evolved into one of the most significant priorities for today s corporations. Due to new and ever changing government regulations and directed local initiatives, it is increasingly important for leading manufacturers and material suppliers to encourage their organizations to implement sound environmental practices that promote sustainable resource stewardship. Event Purpose The purpose of the Summit for Sustainability in Materials & Manufacturing is to identify current changes in environmental and sustainability standards, and to inform manufacturing leaders and decision makers of best practices, smart solutions and innovations available to their organizations. Conference programming will focus on strategic resource management and address opportunities to implement cost savings due to sustainable practices. Target Audience The target audience for this summit will include AMA members (AAMA, GAMA, KAIA, MAMA, SCAC, TAMA), AAIA (Alabama Aerospace Industry Association) members, manufacturing leaders and material suppliers, and environmental and sustainability specialists and decision makers. 5 Exhibit Hall Overview The exhibit hall at the Summit for Sustainability in Materials & Manufacturing will offer companies a prime venue to showcase and demo new products and services, and will provide an opportunity to network with potential clients and business contacts from across the Southeast and around the country. The exhibit hall will be located in the impressive Davidson Center beneath the Saturn V Rocket display, with high visibility and easy access for event attendees. The exhibit hall will also host the Networking Breakfast and afternoon Networking Ice Cream Social. In addition, the spacious venue offers exhibitors the option to demo innovative processes and products to summit attendees. Finally, the summit agenda features two minute exhibit hall breaks for full access networking and marketing.
