Kessel History Center at Loray Mill Alliance for Children & Youth/Communities in Schools American Red Cross Animal League of Gaston Arc of Gaston Ashbrook High School B.R.E.A.D, Backpack Weekend Food Program Believe in Abilities Belmont Abbey College Belmont Community Organization Belmont Historical Society Belmont Rowing Center Bessemer City Crisis Center Bit of Hope Ranch, The Council's Patrick Fund issues emergency funds to HIV positive patients for food, medications, transportation, rent and utilities through case management at Gaston Family health Services. Funds will help support organization's goal of engaging the public through programs and events on a variety of topics related to their local history. Funds will support programming needs for CIS at Woodhill Elementary, like the men of Woodhill, Books & Breakfast, The Cuddle Up & Read Program, and parent involvement night. Funds will be used for the Red Cross to provide immediate assistance such as food, clothing, shelter, medicine replacement, and counseling to victims in Gaston. Funds raised will be used for low-cost spay/neuter services; vaccinations, boarding and medical care for rescued animals; medical care for animals whose owners are in financial need; to purchase educational materials to promote animal welfare.\ Funds will be applied to the organization's specialized summer camp; assist with addressing medical assistance needs, and help in providing awareness of the organization to the community. Funds will support technology needs to further student educational opportunities. Funds will be used to provide support to those in need such as food, fuel, rent, electricity, gas, insurance (vehicle), cleaning supplies, pest control, etc. Funds will provide weekend food for students in the Gaston School System that are identified as needing food over the weekend. Funds will be used for job development, skill building, job coaching, uniforms, supplies and adaptive equipment needed for individuals with developmental disabilities. Funds will be used for operational needs of the College and general scholarships. Funds will support the BCO Client Assistance Program, which provides immediate relief to those requesting food, clothing and payments for rent, utilities, medicine and heating fuel. Funds will be used to continue the restoration of the three museum building grounds, publish historical material, and to host historical events at the property. Funds will be used for the construction of a low profile dock to be installed at the Kevin Loftin Riverside Park when the Rowing Center relocates there in Summer Funds will be used for the installation of shelving and lighting system for food storage in the food bank. Funds will be used to support programs for counseling, autism, and

Funds will be used for vital afterschool and summer programming for youth, focusing on academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles. Funds will be used for all items that are necessary to operate the camp which includes towels, backpacks, bottled water, juice boxes, snacks, craft supplies, swimsuits, special activates, bibles, gas for transportation, food, clothing, etc. Funds will be used to support the Patient Assistance Program that provides liquid nutrition, medication assistance, medical equipment, bras, wigs, prostheses and other necessary items needed by people living with cancer in Gaston. Funds will support travel to and from national competitions and other miscellaneous costs associated with travel. Funds will be used to increase outreach to landowners in Gaston, expanding new properties conserved and stewarding land protected by CLC. Funds will be used to assist homeless women and children with doctor co-pays, medication, transportation, car repairs, food and personal items for the residents. Funds will provide financial assistance to clients for rent, medications, utilities, etc. Funds will be used to purchase program and miscellaneous supplies for youth at the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Gaston and Angel Tree items for students at Webb Street School Funds will be used to support the organization's mission to provide free school supplies to students in Gaston. Funds will be used to assist individuals and families with utility cost. Funds will be used to provide services, food, housing and transportation for the residents. Funds will be used to provide scholarships. Funds will be used to support the technology program through the purchase of chrome books. Funds will be used to pay for tips citizens provide to investigators through the crime stoppers program when the tips lead to an arrest. Funds will enhance organization s existing emergency assistance program in an effort to keep help amounts at a maximum. CAM provides the basic life needs such as food, rent, utilities, heat and prescription medications to low income residents who are experiencing a financial crisis and who reside in the greater Gaston.

Funds will be used to assist individuals with heating and utility bills. Funds will be used to enhance educational programming for school groups as well as plant-based aspects of garden events for family audiences that will help bring plants to life in fun and educational ways. Funds will be used to support programs that address obesity, teen pregnancy, tobacco use and reduction. Funds will be used for general operating expenses and to fund programs such as Jobs for Life, Dream Center Academy and Children's Sports. Funds will be used for fostering cultural awareness, acceptance, and preservation by education, enriching and empowering communities through artistic, cultural programs, presentations and events. Funds will be used to cover costs for transportation, basic shelter, family needs, and shelter supplies. Funds will support families affected by disabilities in Gaston requesting assistance. Funds will be used to provide early childhood development educational opportunities, to provide early childhood community fellowship and assistance programs, to provide scholarship assistance to qualifying families and staff. Funds will be used to provide 24 hour residential support, basic needs for food, clothing, medical supports, substance abuse counseling, transportation and encouragement. Funds will be used to purchase Google Chrome books, carts for classrooms and any other necessary equipment for the students to be able to use the Chrome books. Funds will be used to support special programs for youth and adults as well as for the purchase of needed library equipment and furnishings. Funds will be used for arts in education and arts in health and personal care initiatives. Funds will be used for music purchases, honoraria to director and accompanist, as well as rent for concert venues. Funds will be used for the completion of an 8-lane track. Funds will be used for the Student Emergency Assistance Program. Students can apply to receive up to $200 to help with tuition, fees, and academic supplies. Funds will be used for technology needs. Funds will be used to cover the costs of rehearsals, music, venue rentals, transportation, equipment purchase and maintenance, advertising, and operating expenses to carry out our mission.

Funds will be used for senior student art show awards, judging and reception; institute Saturday classes; some free classes for disadvantaged students Funds will be used for grants awarded to classroom teachers for innovative and creative teaching practices Funds will be used for scholarships for higher education for Gaston students. Funds will be used for continued efforts strengthening Gaston through our three areas of focus: youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Funds will be used for local camp scholarships, bibles & resources for local coaches and athletes, food/event costs, ongoing program support. Funds will provide interesting, family-focused programs, exhibits and events to Gaston residents and school children- both at the museum, courthouse, and through outreach programs. Funds will be used for park improvements and enhancements. Projects may include trails, playgrounds, and other facilities. Funds will be used for scholarships and to help support the community's dance theatre productions. Funds will be used to support development and training opportunities for Gaston Day School faculty and administration in the areas of curriculum enhancement, cultural diversity, and responsive classroom management. Funds will be used to provide uninsured patients with diabetes education materials. Funds will be used for travel for state and national events, maintaining pool equipment, and tools to improve swimming skills. Funds will be used to expand both the school-year and summer tutoring programs. Funds will be used for direct patient care for persons who do not have a source of payment/reimbursement for both Robin Johnson House and home care patients. Total charity care in 2016 was $268,649. Funds will be used for the spay/neuter program; vet care for rescued animals in foster care; emergency medical assistance for those in need of help with sick or injured pets; funding for rabies clinic offered free to Gaston Co. residents. Funds will offset the costs associated with literacy assessments, instructional services, materials for basic skills development, GED prep, English language acquisition, citizenship, and Reading Soul Mates. Funds will be used for music scholarships to summer music camps as well as college music scholarships to worthy Gaston students.

Funds will be used to offset cost of instruction programs, GSOA playhouse, GSOA youth orchestra, and fund scholarships. Funds will be used to purchase paint to improve the look and atmosphere of the activity area and to purchase additional educational games, crafts and supplies to improve life skills of individuals served. Funds will be used to support performances offered free to the community, including purchasing scores and sheet music, renting performance spaces and compensating special guest performers and service providers. Funds will be used for the Gaston Clergy & Citizens Coalition, Community Prize Building, Community Building, and Gaston Community Healthcare Commission. Funds will be used for scholarships for players. Funds will be used in support of but not limited to, areas such as health education programs, speaker s fees/honorariums, medical supplies/equipment, and health fairs. Funds will be used to support the 2017 Shop with a Cop event. Funds will be used for the American Legion Baseball Program, Military Museum Renovations, BoySTATE, and other community projects. Funds will go towards operating expenses for the organization. Funds will be used to promote "Peace through People" through student exchanges with Gaston high school students to our sister cities in Gothc, Germany and Satiago de Surco, Peru. Funds will be used to support Girl Scout Programs in the Gastonia area including troop Bronze, Silver, and Gold awards as well as other community projects. Funds will be used to fund scholarships for qualifying girls throughout Gaston. Over 1,000 girls participate each year and more than 67% of those girls receive full or partial scholarships. Funds will be used to purchase much needed resources to expand after school programs and life skills camps. Funds will be used to purchase building materials and supplies to build a home for a low income family. Funds will be used to meet the immediate, critical prescription drug needs of its enrollees. Funds will be used for medication assistance, providing cardiac related prescriptions to Gaston residents who cannot afford the cost of medications. Funds will be used to provide an opportunity for kids in the community to participate in sporting activities as well as for the renovation of the

Funds will be used for instructional supplies for the school as well as community building projects for students, teachers and staff. Funds will be used to purchase needed educational, adaptive and medical equipment and supplies for resident s ages 1 year to 74 years of age. Funds will be used for the financial literacy camp for youth ages where they learn how money works and how to use it wisely. Funds will be used for the continued daily operation of Hope4Gaston including Closet of Hope. Funds will be used to continue the restoration projects of the 1750's house and homestead buildings and grounds as well as replace exterior walls and paint. Funds will be used for a local community group or school to carry on education, literacy, scientific, and charitable projects. Funds will be used to teach 50 local, elementary-middle school students programs that will empower then to own their economic success. Funds will be used to continue to improve and increase training for the future of Gastonia leaders as well as increase the community impact budget to continue bringing quality programming to Gaston families. Funds will be used for educating and involving the community in litter reduction, beautification and natural resource conservation. Funds will be used to continue the beautification efforts and other visual enhancements within Gastonia. Funds will be used for 2017 operating expenses. Funds will be used to cover 5K registration fees including the 2018 Community Foundation Run as well as shoe scholarships. Funds will be used for programmatic support of victim identification services and direct services for victims of child abuse. Funds will be used for building improvement as well as stage lighting. Funds will be used to support foster care youth who have been placed at Loray Girls Home, The funds will also be used for direct care and support services providing clothing, educational materials, as well as items for other basic needs. Funds will be used for K-1st grade playground equipment. Funds will be used for additions and improvements to Bolick and Rankin City Parks. Funds will be used to support Mountain Ridge Home, a home in Gastonia that provides 24-hour care for adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Funds will be used to purchase playground equipment, academic incentives, a library scanner, classroom fiction and non-fiction readers,

Specifically, to help fund case manager and professional counselor positions at Mira Via's Belmont campus. Funds will be used to further the agency's 2017 strategic plan specifically activities to accomplish goals related to downtown revitalization and community enhancement. Funds will be used to add to the capability of the Mt. Holly Community Impact fund to approve grants that are consistent with the organization's mission. Funds will be used for the chef-in-residence program, payment for musicians that play at the market, replacing worn out equipment, and supporting other healthy living initiatives. Funds will be used for exhibit design and renovation. Funds will be used for a melt extrusion winder to improve product development in the Textile Technology Center Extrusion Lab. Funds will be used for Next Gen grants. Funds will be used for programs and services that aid and encourage the development of youth in partnering with the local boys and girls clubs and other projects involving area youth in schools. Funds will be used for the operation of a traditional house for 6-8 women that will be linked to life skills training, job placement services and other services. The funds will be used to purchase books for the Boogie with Books and Reach Out and Read programs for children. The funds will be used to build and sustain the endowed fund. The funds will be used to support local GSA's, acquire literature and other information, supplies for the chapter, and support for other LGBTQ organizations and businesses. Funds will be used to support the daily operation of the Phoenix Community & Outreach Center which is a daily safe haven for the homeless population of Gaston. Funds will be used to help subsidize the scouting program through the general operating funds and help keep scouting affordable for all. Funds will be used to assist in delivering crucial services, necessities to adolescent parents and families within Gaston. Funds will be used to provide assistance to needy PWS families. Funds will be used for the provision of educational tools and training to professionals and families for prevention of child abuse and neglect.

Funds will be used to offset expenses from the 11 week Summer Day Camp program. Specifically, the money will provide financial assistance to campers and pay for weekly educational and recreational field trips. Funds will be used for the development of natural history themed and STEM focused educational programming and exhibits. Funds will be used for the Gaston weekend backpack program. Funds will be used to support the therapeutic horseback riding and hippotherapy programs at the Gaston farm. Funds will be used for general ground maintenance, pine needles, weed killers, headstone cleaning and repair materials. Funds will also be used for read and left side black chain link fencing at cemetery. Funds will be used for benches, statues, plants and other items to be used at memorial sites for the remembrance of children who died too soon. Funds will be used to provide simple job training skills for mentally challenged young adults and early intervention development for preschoolers with mental challenges. Funds will be used to support local spring and fall competitions as well as financially support athletes in their end of spring, summer, and fall sports training in the 11 sports that are offered. Funds will be used for tuition assistance. Funds will support victims of domestic violence, having left their abusive partner with essential needs of furniture, appliances, transportation and day care assistance. Funds will be used to help adults with developmental disabilities and support efforts to enable them to live integrated in their community. Funds will be used for vet bills, dentals, vaccines, microchips, flea medications, heartworm prevention, pet food, and other pet supplies. Funds will be used to support the United Way 211 information referral line. Funds will be used for annual insurance premiums and related operating expenses. Funds will go towards the Tommy Lee Fredrick Scholarship Fund as well as support the Guardian ad Litem program with recruitment, training, and retention of GAL volunteers, and needs of children in the Justice System. Funds will be used for equipment repairs.

Funds will be used to ensure that the immediate needs like shelter, food, clothing and transportation of homeless, at-risk, and throwaway youth ages will continue to be met.
