2 The location of Rawicz Rawicz is located in the southwestern part of Wielkopolska. The commune is very well integrated into the arteries of the country. In the Municipality of Rawicz, there are crossing the roads : No. 5, which connects Poznań and Wrocław with the national road No. 36, which connects Kalisz and Zielona Góra. Of Wroclaw, near the A4 motorway, 60 km separates us; from Poznań, next to the A2 motorway km. In September 2013, the section of Expressway No. S5 Kaczkowo-Rawicz-Korzeńsko will be given to use this section is a ring road of Rawicz. The closest border crossing are: at west, Zgorzelec Goerlitz (with Germany) and at south : Kudowa Zdrój - Nachód and Lubawka Kralovec (with Czech Republic). From Rawicz to Berlin is 300 km. Through Rawicz is passing the international railway line, from Wrocław to Poznań (E59). The territory of the municipality covers an area of km 2 ( of it is a city). In the administrative boundaries of municipality, there are 22 villages. The commune is a home to nearly 30,000 people, while in the Rawicz live nearly 22,000 people. Commune is a low-lying and flat area. Surrounding the town are situated on gently varied terrain. The lowest place (88 m above sea-level located) is in the valley of the Masłówka river (less Kąty).The highest hills, called Embankment Bojanowski, reach 128 m asl, located in the west. The surface waters of this area belong to the Odra water system. The main river flowing through the Rawicz district is Orla -a tributary of Barycz, while the closest Orla tributaries are Masłówka and Dąbroczna. In the immediate vicinity there is the lack of major watercourses.

10 Rawicz subzone of Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone subjects to the rules, which hold on Special Economic Zone areas. It means that entrepreneurs, investing on these zones, except the regional aid, can bargain on additional public aid, because of costs of new investment or creating new workplaces this aid is a relief in income tax. Maximum rates are regulated in Cabinet of Minister s decree from 10 December 2008 (Act Register No. 232, position 1548 with later changes). In case of taking advantages of public aid because of costs of new investment by investor, it is possible to gain the aid, which can come to 40% of investment s costs, which are qualifying to be ranged by the aid. Conditions, in case of aid because of new investment : minimum investment s costs should come to euro; contribution of own funds should come to at least 25% of absolute investment s costs. entrepreneurs profiting from the aid by virtue of new investment s costs, cannot transfer the property of possession parts, whom the investment s costs was concerned with, in five years time (three years time for Small and Medium Enterprises SMEs) since the day of introducing in fixed assets, non-material and low s values record, according to the rules about income tax, and have to manage an economic activity for at least five years (SMEs three years) since the time of finishing the investment.
11 In case of profiting from the public aid by virtue of creating new workplaces by investor, the aid comes to 40% of biennial new-employed workers labor s costs (it includes gross costs of these workers labor and obligatory costs concerned to their employment, incurred by the entrepreneur since the day of engaging them). Condition : supporting new-created workplaces for at least five years time (SMEs three years time). Investment costs, qualifying to be ranged by the aid, include : price of purchasing the ground or the right to its perpetual use price of purchasing or cost of producing fixed assets in own way, under the condition of including them to parts of taxpayer s property cost of extending or modernizing existing fixed assets price of purchasing non-material and low values, concerned with transfer of technology by purchasing patent rights, license, know-how or non-patented technology knowledge cost concerned with tenanting grounds and buildings, under the condition that tenanting period lasts at least five years (SMEs three years) since predicted time of finishing new investment price of purchasing other hard cores than grounds or buildings, ranged by tenancy, in case of tenancy is in form of leasing credit and including an obligation to purchasing hard cores in the course of tenanting time.
12 The basic to taking advantages from public aid is a permission for managing the economic activity on the Special Economic Zones areas. Permission defines the subject of economic activity and conditions concerning : employment value of minimum investment investment finish time maximum amount of qualified investment costs maximum amount of qualified labor costs. Exemption because of new investment is available since the month, when investment costs was incurred, in period since the day of obtaining the permission until exhausting the allowable regional aid.

Rawicz Municipality offers investors the following exemption from property tax: The de minimis CITY COUNCIL OF RAWICZ COMMUNE S RESOLUTION No. VI/39/07 from Exemption period: 2 years CONDITIONS: The basic condition is to build a new building and launching its use for purposes related to business activity. This excludes buildings connected with the business of floor area over 200 m2, buildings associated with the service station. Formalities: for assistance to be concluded within 14 days after the investment. Maximum amount: EUR 200,000

Rawicz Municipality offers investors the following exemption from property tax: Regional aid CITY COUNCIL OF RAWICZ COMMUNE S RESOLUTION No. VI/40/07 from Exemption period: 5 years CONDITIONS: Maximum amount: The amount of five-year tax, but not more than 40% of expenditure eligible for aid. Example: production hall with an area. 15,000 m2 of usable x zł (tax rate) x 5 years = million PLN ~ EUR. The basic condition: the initial investment or new jobs. Definition of initial investment: the creation of a new establishment, extension of existing establishment, acquisition of an establishment which has closed or would have closed had it not been purchased. Exemptions: buildings and structures associated with trading activities, buildings and structures associated with the service station. Formalities: for assistance to be concluded before the start of the investment in the form annexed to the resolution.
15 DATA ON POPULATION, EMPLOYMENT AND LABOR MARKET The municipality has Rawicz inhabitants, including (as of 31/08/2013): people of working age: women (born ) men (born ) Estimated rates of for production workers (regardless of gender) estimated to be PLN / h. This is the estimate submitted by District Labor Office. We do not have statistics on salaries for office workers.

17 How to spend time in Rawicz commune? Rawicz commune has a wide cultural offer e.g.: Rawicz Cultural Center, Museum of Rawicz, Promień Cinema (3D).
18 It has also rich sport s base: mini-stadiums Orliki, multifunctional sport fields, skatepark, proffesional hammer viewport, athletic stadium, speedway stadium, swimming pool or mini-sledge lane. In Rawicz, a lot of famous sportsman have been brought up.
19 The advantages of Rawicz are its Tree Lanes - antique and unique in an European way and historical urban arrangement on a chessboard plan.
20 MAJOR COMPANIES IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF RAWICZ PIEPRZYK Group of companies. It exists since The Pieprzyk Group consists on several companies, in Poland and Germany. The basis of economic strength is, however, the Polish capital. The leaders of the Group are two companies: Multiple Company "Alice" Ltd. and Multiple Company and PIEPRZYK' Ltd. PIEPRZYK Group's structure consists of three segments: 1. Retail and service distribution of fuel - a network of 27 stations, hotel and catering, printing services, 2. Agriculture - crop and animal production, purchase and storage of cereals, production of milk. 3. Production - production of furniture, sound booths, steel structures. It works with well-known, reputable companies such as PKN Orlen, Grupa LOTOS SA, BP POLAND Ltd, Volkswagen AG, KGHM Polish Copper SA, MULLER Sachs GmbH, Shell Poland. 21 MAJOR COMPANIES IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF RAWICZ Rail Coach Factory Equipment - RAWAG Ltd. It manufactures a wide range of products for rail vehicles. The company provides services in all areas of production: welding, anodizing, powder coating. RAWAG company increased its turnover by 105% in last 5 years. In recent years, the company has received numerous awards and certificates. Currently, RAWAG Sp. z o.o. is a company that employs 274 experienced workers. Paper Mill RAWIBOX SA RAWIBOX SA is considered to be the first of its kind in Poland and one of the few companies in this industry on the European continent. RAWIBOX exists since 100 years, has its own tradition, and employs over 130 employees. The company specializes in the production of corrugated board in various weights and with different coverage and in the production of colored corrugated packaging, offering customers a wide range of products. The company's products are used as food packaging, fruit, vegetables, beverages, consumer goods and technical products.
