3 The Basics to Earning Scholarships 1. Visit your local Dollars for Scholars website at henrysibley.dollarsforscholars.org. The link is available on the Henry Sibley High School homepage. 2. Complete the online profile. 3. Match to scholarship opportunities from local chapters. 4. Gain access to MORE scholarships from Scholarship America. 5. Apply for scholarships!

5 Creating Your Profile Visit henrysibley.dollarsforscholars.org Or follow the link from the Henry Sibley High School homepage. Click on the student & parent login tab. Click to login.

6 Creating Your Profile If you re a new student, create your account here. If you already have an account, log-in here.

7 Creating Your Profile Start by entering Henry Sibley under the school name. Then choose Henry Sibley from the list. Click on Choose This School when your high school appears.

8 Creating Your Profile Start filling out your Basic information when asked which school district do you reside in?, type West St. Paul Mendota Heights Eagan. Read the terms and conditions, check the box to agree to them and hit the submit button. An will be generated to you with your login information. Check SPAM if you don t see the in your inbox within a few minutes.

9 and Login Info The you received will provide you a link back to the login page as well as a temporary password to use to get logged in. When you first log in using the info provided, you will be prompted with a popup asking you to set your password. Enter whatever password you want to use going forward and hit the Save Password button..

10 Welcome to the Student Dashboard! The Dashboard lets you: View your progress and follow the link to work on your profile when incomplete. View your chapter matches and links to their websites View the status of the information that comes from 3 rd parties. Link to national news and resources. Search for scholarships!. December

11 Your Student Profile Click the links under My Information to edit or update sections of your profile. Notice the progress bars and color matches your level of completeness.

12 Student Profile: Basic Information Items marked with a double star ** are required to move on from each section.

13 Student Profile: Additional Information Items marked with a single star * are part of your status bars to show percent completion in each section.

14 Student Profile: Schools Be complete and accurate! This will lead to more scholarship opportunities.

16 Student Profile: GPA Accuracy is important! Data will be compared to your transcript. Henry Sibley does not use Class Rank

17 Student Profile: Test Scores Click this button to enter ALL your information! This information may be needed for other scholarships you may qualify for through Scholarship America. If you need official test scores, contact SAT/ACT or College Board for your official test score set.

18 Student Profile: Activities Enter ALL school and non-school related extra curricular activities (church, sports, volunteering, etc.). Scoring depends on the completeness of your profile.

19 Student Profile: Employment Only add months employed if your work was not a full year.

20 Student Profile: Parent/Guardian Information If you re under 18, you need parental consent to apply for scholarships. Enter your parent information and request consent. Enter an address for a parent/guardian.

21 Financial Information In order to be considered for needs based scholarships outside of the Henry Sibley DFS, you need to have financial info in your profile. If you do not want to be eligible for needs based scholarships, you can click the I do not wish to include financial information button.

22 Student Profile: Essays Required - Provide word essay on your goals and aspirations Optional - Provide word essay on any unusual circumstances you may have experienced in your life.

23 Student Profile: Transcripts & References Click to add the for your school counselor for your transcript. If you need an official transcript for an outside scholarship, You must see your counselor Click to add the adult you would like to complete your recommendation. Make sure to let this person know they will be receiving this request.

24 Student Profile: Finding Scholarships After completing your profile as much as possible, begin your scholarship search here.

25 Scholarship Matches If any scholarships you match to contain any custom eligibility questions, you will need to answer them first.

26 Student Profile: Scholarships! Additional essay or reference information may be required before submitting some applications for certain scholarships. The Submit App button will activate once these are complete. If no further info is required, the Submit App button will already be active and available to click. To apply for a scholarship, you MUST click the Submit App button!. December 2014.

29 Summary Scholarships open Feb 10 th Start your profile today Scholarships close Monday, Feb. 29 th Access the website through the Henry Sibley homepage or henrysibley.dollarsforscholars.org address for a parent/guardian and an address you will use after high school, NOT your ISD 197 address! Pick up information in the guidance office. Awards are announced at the Senior Awards Night May 25 th. You MUST attend to receive your award.

30 Other Scholarships Schulz Family Scholarship Deadline 3/31/ Scholarships are available to Henry Sibley Graduates $5,000/ year renewable for 4 years. December 2015.
