3 Creating Your PTCB Account After visiting click the Login button at the top left of the main page. After clicking the Login button you will be directed to log in. If you have not already created a PTCB account, you can do so here. Note: If you have already created an account with PTCB but cannot remember your username or password, please do not create another account. Contact us through our Help Center and we will assist you. Click the Get Started button. There are 8 steps to creating your account. You must have an account before you can apply for the PTCE. Follow the steps for creating an account. 4 Creating Your PTCB Account Education and Employment Step 8 of the registration process will ask you demographic questions related to your employer and/or educational institution. Please be sure to fill this section out. When selecting yes to your training program and/or employer, you will be asked to indicate in which state the institution is located and then you will be able to select your training program and/or employer from a drop-down list. 5 Creating Your PTCB Account The next page will allow you to apply for certification by sending you directly to the PTCE application. You can also access your Account Homepage at anytime by clicking the Home button. The Account Homepage allows you to access your profile, apply for certification, and more. Your PTCE Application There are several steps to the exam application. Just before you get to the payment page you are asked if you are being sponsored. When you select Yes, you are asked to identify the sponsoring organization. The 4 steps to confirm sponsorship are outlined in the image on the next page. 6 Your PTCE Application Sponsorship Selection Confirmation 1.) Select that you are sponsored. 2.) Enter your sponsoring employer or educator by typing the name and selecting from the drop-down list. a.) If you do not see your sponsor on this list, contact your sponsor. b.) Enter your Student or Employee ID. c.) Your sponsor has the option to ask you to verify your campus location or pharmacy locations. Please enter this information when prompted. 3.) Click Continue. On the next page you will be asked to review your application and agree to specific terms and conditions and then click Complete to submit the application for approval. 7 Your PTCE Application Application Status Once you complete your application, you will be directed back to your Account Homepage. You will be able to see your application status as indicated below. At this point your application is not yet approved. Your sponsor will have to log in to their sponsorship portal to approve your sponsorship. Your application will be approved once the sponsor approves your sponsorship. Once your sponsorship is approved, you will see a link to schedule your exam appointment. You will also be sent an authorizating you to schedule an exam appointment. Note: If you indicated within your application that you would be submitting additional paperwork for special accommodations or background information, your application will not be approved until that paperwork has also been submitted. 8 Application Status Click the Schedule your exam appointment link to be redirected to the Pearson VUE website to set up your Pearson VUE account and schedule the exam appointment.
