Spent two weeks distributing medicines and supplies in Russia. Sandra Davis Received certification as a Senior Trainer in Life Space Crisis Intervention on October 29. The roots of LSCI began wi Fritz Redl, who was trained by Anna Freud. LSCI is useful in school systems and wi treatment programs for children and you. Laura Dennis-Bay Joe Early, Jr. Presented a paper on e poetry of François Maynard at e International Conference on Fear and Awe at e University of West Georgia, November 2. Accepted invitations to serve as a peer reviewer for e journals, Foreign Language Annals and e Journal of Christianity and Foreign Languages. Elected to e Board of Directors of e Williamsburg Little League and serving as secretary of e Board. Jay Kirchner Attended e Kentucky Premedical Advisors 16 Biennial Meeting, University of Louisville, September Selected as accompanist and performed for e National Pastoral Musicians Lexington Chapter for e Diocese of Lexington choral reading session conducted by Robert Whitaker (director of e Caedral in Lexington) in early November. This was a seminar conducted for e choir and music directors from all of Eastern Kentucky Caolic Churches.

The recital was November 12 as part of a rededication ceremony for e organ. Gary Pate Attended e Board of Examiners Meeting in Lexington, June Now a certified Board of Examiner. Norma Patrick Presented faculty symposium, University of e Cumberlands, Invading e Vegetative Mind... Student Al Pilant Coach of e Academic Team. Attended a Kentucky College Quick Recall League Tournament at Georgetown, September 23. Hosted a KCQRL Tournament on November 4. Bob Reising Co-auoring wi Brett Friedlander, Chasing Moonlight in which five chapters recently ran in e Fayetteville, Nor Carolina Observer in October. It ran in is city because of e Reese Grant we had won from at newspaper e previous year to support our research, which required trips to Minnesota and Pennsylvania, as well as to various cities in Nor Carolina, Graham's native state. Accepted an invitation to serve on e Kentucky River P-16 Council headquartered in Hazard. Recently evaluated a Book Prospectus, Teaching Young Adult Literature in New Times, for Sage Publications, which is considering publication of e book. The My and Meaning of e Star Wars Films, November 14, Jolly Sharp Awarded e 2006 O'Connor Collection Junior Fellowship from Georgia College and State University, allowing her to work in e Flannery O'Connor special collections of e library ere. Presented a paper entitled "Grace Lumpkin's Crusty Bread: A Social Commentary" at e PCAS Conference (Popular Culture Association in e Sou), in Savannah, Georgia on October 6, Preparing wi Tom Frazier, A chronology "Social Life" for A Chronology of American Popular Culture from 1900 to e Present to be edited by Professors Michael and Sarah Dunne of Middle Tennessee State University and to be published by Greenwood Press. Completed successfully her written and oral comprehensive examinations at Middle Tennessee State University. Awarded a doctoral fellowship for Spring 2007 from Middle Tennessee State University.

Panel titles were: "Same Goal, Multiple Approaches to Online Teaching"; "Early Lessons in LAMP wi Sakai as our CMS"; and "Teach Your Broer/Sister Well, in Abington, Virginia, October 5, 6, 7. Finalist for e 2006 Innovation Award given by e Professional Organizational Development Network. She presented her idea in a poster "Just In Time Series Bookmarks," at e National Conference in Portland, Oregon, October Served as a moderator for an Academic Team Tournament on November 4.
