GOVERNANCE Intelecom Learning is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that serves as the fiscal and development agent for the Southern California Consortium for Community College Television, a California joint powers authority (JPA Consortium) comprising fifteen California community college districts.
OPENING DOORS TO LEARNING The importance of providing access to education has always been at the heart of Intelecom Learning activities. Since 1970, the organization has established an unsurpassed reputation for opening new doors to learning and creatively transmitting ideas, information, and knowledge through the effective use of educational technology.
STRENGTH IN NUMBERS Few organizations can maintain the sophisticated level of production that is otherwise made possible through consortial efforts. Throughout its history, Intelecom Learning has successfully partnered with California community colleges, publishers, foundations, and government agencies to develop educational materials and tools that lead to learning.
A TRADITION OF INNOVATION In keeping with its history of leveraging technology in support of education, Intelecom Learning developed and launched a best-in-class video streaming database for higher education. Like many projects before it, this award-winning service stands as an excellent example of an innovative and effective response to a pressing educational need.
CHARTING NEW PATHWAYS Today, Intelecom Learning is positioned to bring its experience in content development and instructional design to the production and delivery of learning tools online courses, digital applications in support of community college certificate and degree programs, continuing education and fee-based programs, student veterans, and adult education.
Snapshots in Time Eighteen cooperating California community colleges establish the southern California Consortium for Community TV The Mechanical Universe is released one of four telecourses produced with funding from the Annenberg/CPB Project INTELECOM launches Crossroads Café, an ESL series that Secretary of Education Richard Riley would call the right kind of TV talk show The consortium establishes a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation to serve as its fiscal and legal agent With an eye to the future, the corporation changes its name to INTELECOM Intelligent Telecommunications The INTELECOM Online Resources Network makes its debut...a bestin-class video streaming service. Intelecom Learning...a new name and initiatives serving community education and student veterans East Colorado Blvd., Suite 300, Pasadena,CA (800)
