7 CENTRAL WISCONSIN STATE FAIR DATES The 2018 Central Wisconsin State Fair dates are Tuesday, August 21 Sunday, August 26. These dates are a week earlier than past years, so all dates leading up to the fair have also been adjusted. Please mark the important dates below on your calendar now. More information will be published in the July/August newsletter and on our website. June 1 July 16: Fair Registration Registration will be online through Fair Entry and must be completed by midnight on Monday, July 16th. Sunday, August 19; 6:00 10:00p.m.: Fairgrounds Clean-up Members, leaders and families are asked to help clean the Junior Fair exhibition buildings and animal barns. Booth set-up will be allowed only AFTER the clean-up is complete. Monday, August 20: Booth Set-up and Exhibit Check-in Buildings open at 7:00a.m. for booth set-up. Refer to the fair book for specific project check-in times CENTRAL WISCONSIN STATE JUNIOR FAIR REGISTRATION We will once again be using Fair Entry to complete fair registration this year. Online registration will begin on June 1st. The fair book will be posted online at: once it is ready. Additionally, a Registration Help Guide will also be posted on the Wood County 4-H website. We recommend that you read through this guide before completing your registration, as there are some new features this year: There were a number of issues last year with submitting individual entries before all family entries were completed. This process has been improved, and it is now easier to register all individual exhibitors before completing the family submission. There is also a new multi-entry process to save time when registering for multiple lots in the same class. This will streamline the registration for exhibitors entering multiple projects in the same class. If you are participating in the Market Sale for Swine, please be sure to follow the instructions provided at the Market Sale educational meetings so you enter your animals correctly. Incorrect submissions will be returned to be corrected. More details will be included in the next newsletter, and will also be available online. If you have any questions before or during registration, contact us at Page 7
