The rates are com puted daily for each commodity. WHEAT LOAN THROUGH FSA With the wheat price low; pro duc ers who want to hold on to the com mod - ity for a higher price may want to con sider com mod - ity mar ket ing loan. FSA of fers two types of loans; ware house and farm stored. Ware house loans pro - ducer must ob tain a ware - house re ceipt from an ap - proved ware house or el e va tor. Pay 9 months of storage to the elevator. The FSA of fice re tains the ware house re ceipt and will also re quire a paid stor age receipt. Farm stored loans - pro - duc ers can cer tify the num ber of bush els in the bin(s) or can re quest a bin measurement. Loans are for a max i - mum of 9 month loans. Lien waiv ers must be ob - tained from those listed on the lien search i.e. banks nor mally. Pay ment can be is sued 100% to pro ducer, jointly be tween lien holder and pro ducer or 100% to the lien holder. Commodity loans are beneficial for producers that need cash to pay cut - ting bills and still have the commodity to market. The loan can be paid off any time dur ing the 9 months. This brings the next ques tion Will the trees sur vive? The short an swer is we are not sure. Can the trees sur vive with thin ner than nor mal bark un til re - placed over time as the trees grow? It may de pend on the trees health go ing into this new sce nario, present tree watering and care prac tices, and weather vari ables in the fu ture. Colorado State Patrol (CSP) Trooper Bryan Wil - liams has been with the Pa trol for 23 years, with the past 15 served in a four-county area in south - east Colorado. Wil liams said he al ways wanted to be in some type of law en force ment or in the mil i tary. CKLECC FUN TOTE Keep Your Kids Learn ing and on the Path to Be ing School Ready This pro gram was cre - ated for ages 0-8 to pro vide fun learning tools and activities to sup port school readi ness and the development of important mile - stones. There are a va ri ety of tote categories including literacy, so - cial/emo tional de vel op ment, math/sci ence, health, dra matic play, etc. The totes are avail able to take home and are a great way to in crease par ent child in ter ac - tion. The pro gram is funded by the Buell Foun da tion. The Early Child hood Coun cil would like to make the tote pro gram avail able to all com mu ni ties. Cur rently the totes are avail able at our pub lic li - braries.
