2 SCHOLARSHIP SCHOLARLY INTERESTS Sport Sociology: (The socio-cultural experiences of African Americans in sport.) Endowment: I endow the Graduate Student Diversity Scholarship of the North American Society for the Sociology of Sport ($500 annually, $3,500 to date). CURRENT PROJECTS In Your Face: The Black Athlete In American Sports. Documentary film project with award winning documentary film producer and former IU student of mine Jerald Harkness. We have identified various sources of funding ($250,000) and have a meeting with a possible sponsor in April From the Locker Room to the Real World: Online educational curriculum to supplement the work of college student athlete counselors. NCAA $50,000 grant applied for to subsidize the project.
