2 YouthCORE 2016 ENCORE Youth Conference September 2016, Carinthia/Austria The YouthCORE Conference (18 th 23 rd September 2016) will be hosted by the Austrian region Carinthia and will take place in Cap Wörth on the shores of the lake Wörthersee: YouthCORE is the European Environmental Youth Conference of the Regions. Idea: YouthCORE is aiming at the political participation of young people all over Europe. The Conference is guided by experienced staff. The program includes the interregional exchange, educational excursions and intensive discussion and work on important environmental issues of the European regions. Aim: A delegation of the participants will additionally have the opportunity to present possibilities to take action on climate change and to articulate their demands within the ENCORE Conference Regions taking action alliances on climate change and green economy on 23 rd of September ENCORE is a political platform and forum of Environment Ministers and other relevant political leaders of the regions of Europe relating to environmental and sustainable development issues. ENCORE is dedicated to political co-operation between the regional Environment Ministers in Europe. ENCORE aims to contribute to the effective implementation of EU environmental policy, to improve environmental governance and to foster sustainable development in the regions of Europe. Participants: Young people of Europe can take part in the conference and contribute to the sustainable development in Europe by discussing current problems in the field, thinking of possible solutions and giving advice to the regions Ministers of Environment taking part at the ENCORE Conference. 5 Venue: Participants can check in on 18 th of September from 3 p.m.in the Youth Hostel Cap Wörth, the conference starts at 5 p.m. Departure can be scheduled from 1 p.m. on 23 rd of September. Full board accommodation in the Youth Hostel Cap Wörth will be provided by the regional government of Carinthia. Travel costs/expenses have to be paid by the Participants or the Regions. Please note, that the Airport Klagenfurt is closed for repairs in autumn. To get to Carinthia the best way will be either to go by train to Velden am Wörthersee or by flight to Ljubljana/Slovenia. The AlpeAdria Line will take you from the Airport Ljubljana to Klagenfurt. ( Application: Do you want to be part of the YouthCORE 2016?
