1 SAE COLLEGIATE CLUB OFFICERS LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM (SAE COLT) 7 TH & 8 TH MARCH 2009 It was around 8am when the (SAE) members got out of their dormitories to attend the COLT programme. The conference began with mouthwatering food, continued by the welcome address given by Mr.S.Selvamani. Action plan for the forth coming SAE Dr. Rajendran, Students Activities Champion narrated the importance of the programme and its advantages. The students were explained about the importance of the conference and its hierarchy in placements. He gave them a clear portrait of the various

2 Our guest of honour Mr.Appalraju shared his twenty five years experience with the students. He depicted the positions of various industries during this recession period and various causes of failure of products of various automobile industries. The students gave a positive feedback for the various comparisons of marketing profiles. Mr.Amstrong gave the students a strong foundation that could help them during campus recruitment. He depicted the importance of SAE and the careercheck. This was followed by the presentations given by the students and the steps to be taken were clearly depicted. During the next session the students from the new collegiate clubs were welcomed. They were appreciated to give their feedbacks and clarify their doubts. This was followed by the presentation given by MOUNI, SEC member about the history of automobile industries. The session ended with a presentation on the marketing sectors in various companies. Thus the COLT conference ended successfully with all the students reporting positively.

3 As night time arrived to commence the events a campfire was started with initial struggle, and the members gathered around it, where the Students from various collegiate clubs were intimated about details of Student Convention Amrita School of Engineering have been declared as hosting team and Jeppiaar Engineering College as shadow team for Student Convention 2009 The trekking at Yelagiri mountains allowed us to bond with nature and admire its beauty which added colour to the success of COLT-March 7 th 09.
