2 Position Changes Lauren Anderson Talent Search Advisor Kristen Bean STEM Student Support Services Advisor Caitlin Brown Financial Assistance Specialist Recent Honors Seminole State College employees received awards at the 51st annual Oklahoma Association of Community Colleges Conference at Oklahoma City Community College SSC s 2018 Outstanding Employees were Director of Upward Bound Rich Thornton, Assistant Professor of Mathematics Jarrod Tollett and Administrative Assistant for the Vice President of Student Affairs Toni Wittman. 2

3 Recent Honors Seminole Chamber of Commerce Honored Faculty and Staff Theran Hernandez Assistant Professor of Science Caitlin Brown Financial Assistance Specialist Recent Honors Coach Z Lloyd Simmons honored with a Distinguished Service Award at the NJCAA Region II Annual Meeting in September. Coach Simmons will also receive a Lifetime Achievement in Scouting Award from the Midwest Scouting Association on December 8 th in Kansas City 3

4 Recent Honors SSC Trojans baseball player Adam LaRoche recently inducted into the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame Legislators Visit Campus Senator Adam Pugh (R-Edmond) and Representative Jason Dunnington (D-OKC) spoke to students about their new non-profit organization, From Now On, which promotes engagement in the political process - including CIVIL discourse and being an informed voter. 4
