1 2019 Nebraska Athletics CONTRIBUTION GUIDE

2 Dear Huskers: Thank you for your investment in Nebraska Athletics. Your annual commitment to the Huskers Athletic Fund and our student-athletes is second to none. In the past year, I have had the opportunity to lead this incredible athletic program and see first-hand the amazing people and support surrounding this great university. As a result of your generosity, we are able to provide the best student-athlete experience in the nation to more than 650 student-athletes who represent this university so well in athletics, academics and life. Your Huskers Athletic Fund membership not only upholds the rich traditions of the University of Nebraska, but also invests in a future we can all be proud of. 4 At Nebraska, our people will always be our greatest asset. Fan support, attendance and donor contributions continue to be our largest financial resource. It is also important to recognize that Nebraska is one of the few self-sustaining athletic programs to also give back to their University. However, as the cost of tuition and studentathlete support services continue to rise, we must depend on passionate investors who understand the need for continuous advancement to recruit and develop studentathletes who compete for championships. 8 DEVANEY LEGACY SOCIETY PLANNED GIVING Nebraska Gymnastics has played a large role in the lives of Steve and Lisa Todd. Steve was a member of the Husker Men s Gymnastics team in the late 70s. He started as a walk-on, and through hard work and dedication earned a scholarship. Over those years, Lisa would be right alongside Steve, following him to meets around the country and cheering him on. It s a time in their life that the couple both reflect back on and cherish. It s also why when it came time to consider their estate plans, they wanted to do something to give back to the program they feel gave them so much. By establishing the Steve and Lisa Todd Men s Gymnastics Scholarship Fund through their estate, they re ensuring the support of student-athletes just like Steve, long into the future. LEAVE YOUR LEGACY Establishing a planned gift can impact the studentathletes of today, while building a lasting tradition of support for the student-athletes of tomorrow. Many planned gifts provide substantial tax advantages and can take the form of: Will or Trust Retirement Plan Assets Life Insurance Real Estate Charitable Gift Annuity Charitable Remainder Trust Charitable Lead Trust SHARE YOUR PLANS! Have you included Nebraska Athletics in your estate plans? We would like to know, so we can say thank you. We can also provide language to help ensure your gift will be implemented exactly according to your wishes. Please contact Marla Grose, Director of Development by at mgrose@huskers.com. 7 With your documented intent, you will be recognized in our Devaney Legacy Society and receive special event invitations in addition to Huskers Athletic Fund benefits!
