2 Champions Club members, friends and fans, What a year! We won FOUR Big Sky Championships in Football, Volleyball, and Men's and Women's Basketball. We hosted UND's first ever home football playoff game in the Division I era and our Volleyball team advanced to the NCAA tournament. Women's Basketball advanced to the WNIT in postseason play. And Men's Basketball earned their first ever trip to the Big Dance! What a great opportunity for our Athletics program, and great national exposure as we competed in March Madness on national television. We continue to have success in the classroom with our 17th consecutive semester of a GPA above 3.0 for our student-athletes. 328 of 440 had a GPA above a 3.0 and 73 achieved a 4.0. Our student-athletes again proved to be champions in the community with another record year of 9,524 hours of community service. We are also excited to announce that we will be rekindling some old rivalries as we move to the Summit League starting in This conference change will, among many things, provide our student-athletes the experiences of competing against some of the top programs in the country and reigniting the rivalries with schools like NDSU, SDSU, and USD. Additionally, 2 we ll be joining the Missouri Valley Football Conference in We are the flagship University in North Dakota. In order to keep that standing and represent UND on a national level in athletics, we need your help more than ever. Securing over 400 student-athlete scholarships, along with program enhancements, could not be done without the help of every Champions Club member. The Champions Club continues to lead the way as the largest supporter for University of North Dakota Athletics scholarship needs and we THANK YOU. It takes the strength of many to achieve and sustain success; the bigger the Champions Club, the stronger and better we will be. Please explore this membership guide to learn more. Thank you for being an integral part of our team! go Fighting hawks! Brian Faison, UND Director of Athletics

10 impact scholarships Impact Scholarships help offset the cost of annual scholarships. Gifts to Impact Scholarships are not invested; rather, 100% of your yearly pledge will directly benefit a student-athlete scholarship. In 2017, we are projecting about $370,000 in gifts to Impact Scholarships, and in 2018, we are projecting only $183,000. With an overall scholarship budget of $4 million, your support to Impact Scholarships is critical. BENEFITS OF AN IMPACT SCHOLARSHIP By creating an Impact Scholarship, you may: designate your gift to a specific sport and even a specific position. name a scholarship. support a student-athlete for the length of your pledge. be recognized on the Ralph Engelstad Arena Legacy Wall for the length of your pledge (if your gift is $25,000+) earn recognition in UND Athletics game programs. meet the student-athlete(s) selected to receive your scholarship. receive North Dakota Champions Club Priority Points (must be Champions Club member). Pledge your impact $25,000/ year x 5 = $125,000 $15,000/ year x 5 = $75,000 $10,000/ year x 5 = $50,000 $2,000/ year x 5 = $10,000 $1,000/ year x 5 = $5,000 10
11 endowed scholarships Endowed scholarships are an investment into the future, providing perpetual financial support that increases over time. To lay the permanent groundwork for our program, we need to increase our scholarship endowment support for the long term. A named scholarship endowment will: allow you to designate your gift to a specific sport or position support a scholarship forever. permanently associate your name with the scholarship endowment. be recognized on the Ralph Engelstad Arena Legacy Wall and in UND Foundation publications. be recognized in UND Athletics game programs. allow you to meet the student-athlete(s) selected to receive your scholarship. earn you North Dakota Champions Club Priority Points (must be Champions Club member). 17 are you an mvp? FAITH DOOLEY WHEATLAND, N.D. KINESIOLOGY WHAT IS AN MVP GIFT? Any amount above your current membership level is considered an MVP gift. Whether it s $1 or $1,000, it impacts UND Athletics. WHY IS IT IMPORTANT? We need these additional dollars to fill the gap of unrealized scholarships for our student-athletes. HOW DO I GIVE AN MVP GIFT? When joining or renewing your Champions Club membership, simply increase your gift amount to reflect the extra dollars you d like to give to Champions Club. For example, if you are a Coaches level member, you could give an MVP gift of $150, making your total donation $1,650 ($1,500 [Coaches level amount] + $150 MVP gift). I VE ALREADY JOINED FOR CAN I STILL MAKE AN MVP GIFT? Absolutely! We always accept MVP gifts. Call us or visit NDchampionsclub.com to make your IMPACT! 17

Champions Club members are ranked 1-2,514, determined by their total number of points. We use the ranking to ensure an equal approach to ticket allocation when limited tickets are available. Do gift pledges or payment plans toward my Champions Club membership affect my points? Priority Points accumulate as gifts and payments are received, not at the time they are pledged. When are Priority Points used? Priority Points rank requests for season ticket relocations, waitlist priority, away game tickets, charter flights, regional hockey tournaments, national tournaments, and any other instance of limited available tickets. What is the difference between my Priority Points and my Priority Point Rank? We use your total number of priority points to see where you rank among all Champions Club members. For example, a donor with 1, Priority Points might have a Priority Point Rank of 100 out of 2,514 members. I have more questions. Who can I ask?
