Greetings from your Governor We had a very good Valentine s Day dinner and dance, and I believe everyone enjoyed it. A special thanks to Donna Gandy for volunteering to be the Chef and to Rhonda Bryan for doing the decorations. So far this year you have done a great job signing up new members. For the first time in a long time we have had a slight increase in the total number of members. Keep up the great work, and sign up your relatives and friends. Let them know what a great Lodge we have and explain all the benefits of being a member. Remember, if you sign up two new members who are enrolled before May 1 st 2013, you will get one year of free dues, and the application fee is being waived by Moose International thru April 30, 2013. The Moose Legion Committee will hold a St. Patrick s Fun Day with a traditional corn beef and cabbage dinner on March 16th. See further details in this Newsletter. Now is the time for members to be thinking about running for a seat on the Board of Officers for next year. Some of the members on the current Board have indicated they will not run again for their current position, so it would be a great time for other members to step forward and serve the Lodge. The election process will take place in February, March and April with the new Board taking over on May 1 st. Please consider running for an office. If you are willing to step up and run for an Office, sign a simple slip of paper available from Richard Williamson no later than March 19, 2013. The election of new Officers will be on April 9 th. As many of you know we have been installing a new entry card system. Entry will be by using only your membership card. The project is fairly close to completion. Once it is fully operational we will let you know. As noted in the Administrator s article in this Newsletter, the Lodge has made some significant contributions to charity. You should be proud of these contributions and the efforts of our Bingo crews that made this possible. Fraternally, Bob Greer, Governor

Look elsewhere in this Newsletter for further details, and plan to attend and enjoy the day.. All Moose Legion members need to be considering who the Committee will recommend to our new Governor to be Moose Legion Committee Chairman next year. Bob Greer, Chairman Dwight Rhoden, Past Chairman Jeff Strickland, Vice Chairman Wayne Bryan, Asst. Secretary James Henley, Marshall KIDS EASTER PARTY INFORMATION Make sure you sign up your children, grandchildren, etc. for the Easter party. There is a poster board in the social quarters to do so. We need all children signed up so they can receive an Easter basket. Fun starts at 1pm and will be over when the Easter bunny leaves!! We'll need to send him a note to make sure he comes to visit...(hint-hint) To make this a success, we need donations of baskets, candy, small toys for the baskets, stuffed animals, dyed Easter eggs, etc. We have a box in the social quarters to place your donations. In the past, we've had at least 40 kids show up for this, so all donations are appreciated!! Thank you, Donna Gandy
