24 Questions Do you have an interest in the ocean and its inhabitants? If you have an interest in the topic then the Marine Studies Course has a wide variety of topics. Can you do Marine Studies if you do not live near the coast? Yes, the units can be completed without access to the ocean. If you have a dam or river near you that would be helpful. Are there exams? No. There are assessment tasks throughout the course. Is Marine Studies an ATAR subject? No. It counts toward the HSC but not contribute to an ATAR. If you have further questions contact the science faculty.
