THE ROYAL SAROVIAN ARMY Libera et Impera King Carolus, the Lion of the North May 3rd 2017 Welcome, brother. Whether you re an aspiring soldier reading up on the documents that help your leaders function and properly lead, a junior officer reviewing his handbook or an executive officer refreshing his mind, this book is extremely important. I suggest you read this multiple times until you can remember it of the back of your hand. The more educated you are, the better off you will be. Primo Victoria, friends. Table of Contents Introduction Sarovian Map His Grace, King Carolus Vasa Sarovian Appearance Ranks Uniform Gear Weaponry Commands Battle Commands

Training Commands Training Training Formations Activities INTRODUCTION The age of military themed guilds have not passed. They will always remain. However, the quality of these have decreased by time. Savage and untidy militias rise and fall as if it was a weekly thing. Unloyal soldiers and their CO s move from one place to another. More and more recruits are loyal to their CO s and not the cause. A united military presence is needed to create a safe and secure military age. Sarovian Map This is the map of New Sarovia. All soldiers and officers are expected to understand, know and memorize the New Sarovian map. His Grace, King Carolus Vasa King Carolus Vasa is the ruler of the New Sarovian Kingdom. The King, like all Sarovian monarchs before him, has a full royal title which is the following: King Carolus Vasa, by the Grace of Stefan, King of Sarovia, the Makos, Zors and Vasas, Grand Prince of Reuss, and Duke of Syrixia. The King was born on the 12th of June as the son of Emperor Constantine V and Empress Tsu. The young King was robbed of his throne when his father was defeated at Poltava and the empire fell. Now, he has his army up to full speed ready to defeat the foreign invaders that denied his empire it s rightful place. Sarovian Appearance New Sarovia envisions all of these. The New Sarovian Empire (NSE), commonly known as New Sarovia (NS) or Sarovia, would be a constitutional monarchy composed of 5 states, a federal monarchy, and two levels of federal government. Owning the entire Graalian map over a quick and decisive series of wars and

victories, the New Sarovian Empire is the game s second largest nation guild by military strength, and the second most populous. The capital is Autumnwood, and the largest city is Vurgos. The Empire consisted of 23 military divisions throughout it s life - amassing over 500 enlisted men and women of all ethnicities and backgrounds. The New Sarovian Empire believes in freedom of political speech and helping as many people as physically possible. The New Sarovian Empire s goal is to make a fully functioning nation inside of Graal - complete with a police and military force, alongside a fully functioning economy and society to make the lives of Graalians better. UNIFORM Within the Royal Army, every unit is assigned their personal custom uniform which represents their loyalty to New Sarovia, their rank, and their division s special uniform. Within the Infantry Divisions, and the 1st Royal Sarovian Corps, different combinations are issued to different ranks and roles.

1st and 3rd Infantry The 1st and 3rd Infantry Divisions have a yellow trim on their blue uniform. 2nd Infantry The 2nd Divisions have a white trim on their blue uniform. 4th Infantry The 4th Infantry Divisions have a red trim on their blue uniform. I ve gathered all commands into this booklet for studying and separated them by purpose. Battle Commands Fire and Maneuver (FAM) Fire and Maneuver means to attack and move to a certain location, to regroup and attack at the same time. Also referred to as FAM.

Bayonets Bayonets means to take off your normal carbine rifle and switch to your bayonet rifle. Entrench Entrench means to station up and dig into an area that is easily defendable, and hold the position. To Arms To Arms means to switch from your bayonet to your normal drill carbine rifle. Charge Charge means to engage the enemy, usually with your bayonet. Charging soldiers yell PRIMO VICTORIA! Before charging. Hold Fire Artillery soldiers are to hold their fire and wait for the fire command. Fire Fire means to engage the enemy, usually with bombing strafes. Firing soldiers yell Primo Victoria! once before they attack. Commence Bombing Strafe Commence Bombing Strafe means to start a bombing strafe. This is different than fire, because you must be given a time and a place. The time indicates the time in-between your individual strikes. Form Guard Lines Guards are to form two lines of equal size and prepare to extract the caller. Cease Guards are to hold their fire and wait for engagement. Training Commands Rally On My Waypoint (ROMW) Make a 2 line rectangle formation of equal proportions behind the caller of the command. Usually called to gather people and prepare for war. Orange Monkey (OM) Orange Monkey is a phonetic code word for On Me. People gather around usually a circle around the caller. Used for regrouping. Also referred to as OM. Fall in Line (FIL) Fall In Line is the equivalent of Silence. It s used to silence people and stop misbehaving soldiers. Also referred to as FIL. Dismiss Dismiss means to end the activity/event that is happening. Encamp

Encamp means to assemble a base, complete with small guns, field guns, and heavy guns. Control Ground Guards now instead of defending and not moving from one area, are able to move freely and take up defensive positioning nearby. TRAINING The following are types of training you can do. Assault (Land) The Land Assault training is a simple training technique. A group of soldiers, usually five or three, will force their way in a town, or section, and kill all combatants inside. EASY : Kill all combatants. MODERATE : Send 5 soldiers off tag to fight the assaulting squad. HARD : Kill all combatants without friendly casualties. Assault (Water) The Water Assault training is a more complex training technique. A group of soldiers will dive in the water and land beach side, and kill any combatants on the beach. EASY : Kill all combatants. MODERATE : Send 5 soldiers off tag to fight the assault squad as they land. HARD : Kill all combatants without friendly casualties. Breaching Breaching is an easy training technique. A squad of soldiers with firearms infiltrate a building one at a time. The first person on the right goes in and guards the doors opposite side they started on, and vice versa. EASY: Breach one door perfectly. MODERATE: Breach five doors perfectly. HARD: Breach one door and kill all hostiles inside.

Blockade A blockade is a more complex, but important thing to learn. A group of soldiers will fortify a strategic location and block all hostiles from getting past their checkpoint. EASY: Fortify a railroad. MODERATE: Fortify a small town. HARD: Fortify all of the main city. Invasion An invasion is like the Assault, but you will be occupying the area for awhile. This consists of at least one Assault type, one Blockade, Marching, and Breaching. EASY: Invade a small town. MODERATE: Invade a sector. HARD: Invade a real enemy. Marching Marching is a hard training. Line your soldiers up vertically or horizontally, no gaps, facing the way they want to march. Tell everyone to walk that way without stop no matter if people behind them are slow. EASY: March a small distance. MODERATE: March through an entire city. HARD: March through a city without any gaps in a line. Patrol Patrolling is an easy training. Designate a spot for soldiers to walk in a loop around, and look for hostiles and insurgents. EASY: Patrol a small section. MODERATE: Patrol an entire city. HARD: Patrol the entire map. Traditional Spar Sparring is very simple. Send everyone to the spar room and begin sparring in free spar or a tournament style.

EASY: Do a free spar for fifteen minutes. MODERATE: Do a tournament spar for twenty minutes. HARD: Do a free spar for twenty-five minutes. Sergeant Says Sergeant Says is a simple training. Send everyone to the bridge or line them up in a guild house or house. The training officer will instruct them to do things related to normal training (not farming.) They have to do this within a certain period of time. If they fail to finish the order properly within the time frame, another order goes on top of the order amount. EASY: Twenty orders, each in 30 seconds time. MODERATE: Thirty orders, each in 30 seconds time. HARD: Twenty orders, each in 15 seconds time. Bayonet Charge A Bayonet Charge is a medium difficulty training. It s not about fighting prowess or smarts, but rather loyalty and discipline. The training officer lines them up vertically on one side on the guild house, and gives them a bayonet (setshield bayonetrifle-shield1.png). Once the training officer yells CHARGE, the bayonet group yells Primo Victoria! and charges to the other side. EASY: Five bayonet charges, back and forth. MODERATE: Ten bayonet charges, back and forth. HARD: Twenty bayonet charges, back and forth. Encampment Encampment is a hard difficulty training. The training officer will align men different shield codes, such as fences, boxes, field guns and etc. The training officer will make a structure, such as a camp, a fort, blocking off a road, etc. The troops with their shields will create it. EASY: Make a simple roadblock with fences. MODERATE: Make a roadblock with field artillery. HARD: Make a field artillery station, with boxes of munitions, and more. Riot Stopping

Riot Stopping is an occasional training. If a riot is seen, you will direct your men to stop the riot. By using shield codes such as Enlist, Sarovia! or other large shields (tanks or field guns) to direct focus away from the riot. There is no easy/medium/hard for this. Fortifying Fortifying is a medium training. The training officer will take everyone to a location (preferably the Castle) and defend it. Some people will go on the walls, some with Sarovian banners, some in the throne room, etc. There is no easy/medium/hard for this. Grenadier Strike (Heavy) The Grenadier Strike training is a simple training technique. A group of soldiers, usually five or three, toss grenades over a fortification, and charge the enemy. AUTHORITY: Captains+ EASY : Kill all combatants. MODERATE : Send a few soldiers off tag to fight the assaulting squad. HARD : Kill all combatants without friendly casualties. Grenadier Strike (Light) The Grenadier Strike training is a more complex training technique. A group of soldiers (1-2) and toss grenades over a wall or fence, killing enemies on the inside. AUTHORITY: Captains+ EASY : Kill all combatants. MODERATE : Send 5 soldiers off tag to fight the assault squad. HARD : Kill all combatants without friendly casualties. Fire and Advance The Fire and Advance training is a more complex training technique. A group of soldiers form two even lines with player sized gaps in the middle. Every soldier has 50 arrows. The commanding officer issues Front rank, fire!, the first rank (first line) fires ten-twenty arrows. The commanding officer issues Advance! and the second rank passes in front of the first rank into line. The commanding

officer issues Rear rank, fire!, the new front rank (originally second line) fires ten-twenty arrows. Repeat. AUTHORITY: Colonel+ EASY : Do two advances. MODERATE : Do five advances. HARD : Do five advances within twenty seconds. Field Artillery The Field Artillery training is the easiest artillery training. A group of soldiers will stock up on munitions and proceed to heavily bomb an area in a specific shape - horizontal, vertical, etc. AUTHORITY : Captains+ EASY : Make horizontal and vertical strikes. MODERATE : Make diagonal and curved strikes. HARD : Make formation shaped strikes. Extraction Extraction is a hard difficulty training. One person will become a designated VIP and will be sent to an area, somewhat hidden but visible. The leader of the training will send his troops to extract the VIP, which means sweeping towns and buildings in search of them. Must use perfect breaching. AUTHORITY : Sergeant+ EASY : One sweep. MODERATE : Two sweeps. HARD : Five sweeps.
