2 Dr. Luke Flynn Dr. Luke Flynn is the Director of the Hawaii NASA Space Grant Program, the Hawaii NASA EPSCoR Program, and the Hawaii Space Flight Laboratory. Luke received a BA in Physics from Cornell University and a PhD in Geology and Geophysics at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

3 Dr. Luke Flynn Luke has served as a science team member on NASA's Landsat 7 and Earth Observing-1 satellite missions. HSFL's objectives are to design, build, test, launch, and operate small satellites from the Hawaiian Islands and establish a new aerospace economy in Hawaii. Dr. Flynn was a co-project manager of the Operationally Responsive Space-4 Mission that launched from Kauai, Hawaii in November In the last 5 years, HSFL and HSGC have provided unique experiential research opportunities for 697 students in SOEST and the College of Engineering.

4 Dr. Martin F. Lindsey Dr Martin Lindsey is the Principal Aerospace Engineer supporting the J8 and Science & Technology Advisor for U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM). His chief role is to advise USINDOPACOM staff and advocate for aerospace-domain S&T activities that better enable USINDOPACOM warfighters to accomplish assigned missions. To accomplish this, he actively engages with Service and Agency Labs, serves as the Operational Manager for aerospace-related technology demonstrations and pursues relevant cooperative efforts with international partners and allies within the Indo-Asia-Pacific region

5 Dr. Martin F. Lindsey Prior to assuming his current duties, Dr Lindsey retired from the Air Force with 20 years of service. His last military assignment was four years as the USINDOPACOM Deputy S&T Advisor, where in addition to his aerospace specialty he focused on expeditionary energy, humanitarian assistance / disaster response and maritime domain awareness technologies.these technologies frequently had him engaging military counterparts throughout Southeast Asia. Previous to joining USINDOPACOM, he earned a PhD in Aeronautical Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology with a follow-on tour as a branch and deputy division chief for hypersonic propulsion at the Air Force Research Laboratory. His military career also included launch crew commander and operations flight commander responsibilities for the Atlas II/III and Delta IV space launch systems and an assignment as a Minuteman III ICBM maintenance officer. In Oct 2018, Dr Lindsey accepted a career tenured civil service appointment with the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific, in their Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Division, Pearl City, Hawaii. He has authored or co-authored more than 30 professional papers including refereed technical journals.

6 Dr. Trevor C. Sorensen Born in Brisbane, Australia, Dr. Sorensen received his BS. (1973), M.S. (1976) and Doctor of Engineering (1979) degrees in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Kansas (KU). He did his doctoral project on Pioneer Venus at NASA Ames Research Center. He then was a Space Shuttle guidance and control engineer (STS-1 & 2), worked in Mission Control as assistant Flight Director, and finally was a software engineering manager supporting Shuttle missions.

7 Dr. Trevor C. Sorensen In 1994, Dr. Sorensen was the Lunar Mission Manager for the DoD/NASA Clementine lunar mission for which he received the NASA Medal for Exceptional Scientific Achievement. Dr. Sorensen was the program manager for the $23 million Space Systems Research & Development contract with the Naval Research Laboratory under which the USAF MSTI-3 satellite was operated. He was then technical director for Honeywell s global satellite tracking and control system, DataLynx. In 2007 he joined the University of Hawaii at Manoa as a specialist professor and project manager in the Hawaii Space Flight Laboratory. He is a Fellow of the American Astronautical Society, a Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), and from was on the AIAA Board of Directors as the Director of the Space and Missiles Group, which consists of 14 technical committees.
